Broken. He was broken. To the point that he felt as though, his world had crumbled down before him. And there he was, standing in the rubble and blood. He was broken to the point that all the colour seemed to disappear when he moved his gaze, all the light faded, all the things that made him happy were irrelevant. And he was left in the cold, bitter darkness. Harry Potter was... Broken

The train ride felt slow, everything did. Harry looked out the window at the trees flying by and let his eyes zone out till all he saw was different shades of green flowing by. He had found an empty compartment on the train. He knew his two best friends would immediately pick up on his depressing demeanour. He had hid it as best he could over the summer and of course the Dursly's where to self concerned to even notice anyone else's problems. Harry had felt so empty, depressed even. He didn't want to feel anything so he pushed everything down, he hadn't even shed a single tear after the day he lost Padfoot. He felt numb, like he had hit pause on all his emotions. But as he felt the the train slow and finally saw his home expecting to feel relief, he only felt emptiness and despair.
〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰
He willed his feet with all his might to step over the grand threshold, this act previously brought happiness and a feeling of returning home, but now, it just let open a crack for all the pain flood in. A dull ace that ate away at him all summer suddenly was a sharp burning pain in his chest. He stopped his feet as he felt his eyes glass up, and before he could stop it, a single tear fell. It glistened as it ran down his cheek leaving a warm trail until it fell to the ground almost in a slow motion splash, and, with that, he suddenly felt all the emotion and pain and anger that he had buried at the end of his fifth year swell up like a wave arcing over him.
Harry slid his hand over his forehead and bowed his head trying to hide his emotions. Then he saw a familiar face, a friend. Albus Dumbledore walked around a corner and towards Harry. A smile grew on his face ready to greet one of his favourite students.
" Hello Harry, good to see you back."
Harry lifted his head his eyes sparkling with tears that he was tempted to shed, Dumbledore smile slowly faded and was replaced by a saddened look. Harry made eye contact and tried his best to give a obviously fake smile before turning around with hast and making his way out of Hogwarts.
" Harry." Dumbledore said in a disappointed tone.
Harry looked up at him, shook his head slightly to confirm the obvious message before turning back and letting his feet carry him where ever they please. Harry wasn't alright. And Dumbledore knew along with anyone who had common sense. He had lost it all, and thought Hogwarts was filled with his friends and people he did, truly love. He had no family, and at that moment, he felt as though he had no one.

Harry had unconsciously made his was to the lake, he abruptly awoke from the trance that guided him to his location when a cold breeze curled of the lake and over his tear lined face cooling the liquid on his cheeks. He stared down at his reflection . When a slight ripple came over the water, he could have sworn that he saw something. Before he could completely process what was happening a figure appeared beside him in the distorted reflection, now it was as clear as day. Sirius Black was smiling up at him.
" Sirius, ho- how are you here!"
He tripped over his words before spinning around to look for the figure how seemed to be standing beside him. But, there was no one. Harry sighed deeply In frustration. He began to breath heavy and fast, tears now escaping his eyes rapidly and blurring him vision. Now all the emotions had surfaced after two months of pushing everything down as much as possible. Harry pulled his knees to his chest and tipped his head down.
Deep breathe, breath Harry. Your fine, you've gone two months with out breaking down. Not now, you can't lose it now, here.
Harry's breathing slowed, along with the tears that clouded his vision. And again, he locked away all the emotion. But he know, eventually, they would all come bubbling back, tearing at the surface and there would be nothing he could about it. But for now, he could act the part and pretend for a little longer.
