Lachlan

"Bye, November. I hope we'll see each other again soon," I murmur sadly, as November begins to board the plane to Washington.

"Come visit me sometime!" she says, then enters the plane.

Doesn't Delanie still live in Washington? She doesn't love me. Stop thinking about her. You left her. Why? I start to back up. My back hits the wall.

"I don't know..." I whisper. You do know.

Delanie

I watch as my new neighbor steps onto the driveway. I unfold my arms, and walk over. Be nice, Delanie. I think in my mind. As I near the girl, I notice she seems about my age. I lightly tap her shoulder.

"Hey, there. I'm Delanie... Welcome to the neighborhood," I say to her awkwardly.

"Hey, I'm November. You can call me Em, though. How are you?" Em asks, smiling. How are you? Not good. Not bad. Unpleasant?

"I'm... I don't know," I mutter.

"You don't know?" Em questions.

"I'm insatiable. I can never feel satisfied. I don't feel bad, nor good. Just needing more... My motto is 'Never Enough!' by JeromeASF," I answer, edgy about mentioning a Minecraft youtuber in case Em doesn't like Minecraft or something.

"You like Minecraft youtubers?" Em smiles.

"Yeah, I guess."

"My best guy friend has a channel!" Em exclaims.

"Really? What's his name?" I grow curious.

"Lachlan." Lachlan?

"Lachlan is CraftBattleDuty?" I almost spit. I knew he sounded familiar.

"Yes. Do you know him?"

"He was my boyfriend," I explain.

"Oh, cool."

"Let me help you unpack," I change the awkward topic, and begin to pick up boxes.

...

"You like Rob?!?" I laugh.

"He's hot!" Em defends.

"Not in my mind!" I stop laughing. Of course not... no one's enough.

"Well I think he's the cutest man you'll ever meet!" I nudge Em gently, grinning.

"Maybe in your mind."

Lachlan

"See you soon, Em," I murmur to myself, as I book a ticket to Washington.

Little did I know that I'd be meeting Delanie when I arrived.
