Chapter 1

The day of the car crash

"Mom! Come on! We have to go! We don't have all the time in the world or I will be late!"
"Hold on darling, I am looking for dad's car keys but I can't find it"
"Mitchell I have the car keys now let's go before Carla gets more frustrated"

I finally see mom and dad coming out of the house. Ugh ohh no! I'm going to be late this time, I hope dad speeds it up or I will be mad! I told them that my game will be at 2pm and it's already 1:50pm, I have 10 minutes to get there! I told them that I can just go through the woods and run with my wolf! But nooooo! They said no that, they don't want me to get hurt! Ughh! They are so over protective but I love them with all my heart.

"Dad can you go any faster?! I need to be there on time! I hate being late! I've never been late and I want to keep it that way!"
"Honey I am trying but I can't go any faster with all these cars on the roads, I don't want to risk getting in a car crash. Please sit down and be patient!"
"James please don't yell at carla, she is just nervous because it's her final game"

I started getting more agitated because he wouldn't go any faster ugh! If I knew that me yelling out would cause dad to be distracted and pay attentioned I would of kept my mouth shut to prevent what would happen next.

"DAD PLEASE!! HURRY HURRY! I HAVE NO TIME FOR YOUR SLOW DRIVING!!
"Carla stop yelling!! You need to learn to have pa.."

And bam! I hear mom screaming and dad telling me to hold on tight. I feel the car spinning and rolling and suddenly a huge thud. All I remember is seeing my dad from the front little mirror telling me that him and mom loves me and I need to be strong. I feel my self drifting away slowly, then everything goes dark.

Those were the last words that dad had told me. He was busy telling me to calm down that he didn't see that he ran a red light. He didn't see the incoming car that was driving straight to us. He didn't see nothing because IT WAS MY FAULT! THAT IF I HAD STUP MY MOUTH, HE WOULD OF PAID ATTENTIONED TO THE ROAD!

Present day

*beep* *beep* *beep*

I feel dizzy, my body hurts, what is going on.
Where am I? This does not feel like my bed. As I'm opening my eye and sitting up, I'm comfused... Why am I in a hospital room.

Then suddenly all the memories come surging in. Dad and mom in the car. Me yelling at the, telling dad to hurry up, dad telling me to stop yelling, then the sound of the car crashing into us, mom screaming.

Then it clicked The car crash!! Mom and dad! I need to see them! I'm trying to get up, knocking things to the ground. Then an older lady comes in, she looks to be a nurse.

"Carla! Honey, please lay down, your body is not strong enough, your still healing, your wolf is injured so it's taking longer for you to heal. Please lay down"

"WHERE IS MY MOM! WHERE IS MY DAD! I WANT TO SEE THEM!"

"Carla, the doctor is on his way but I need you to calm down and lay down"

She wasn't letting me see mom and dad! It's making me frustrated. I know something is going on just by the way she looks at me all sad. After minutes of being fussy, I start feeling more tired, so I decided to listen to her and lay down. Just then the doctor comes in. I know what he is going to say just by the way he approaches.

"Carla I'm sorry.. You have been in coma for a week. Your parents... I'm sorry for your loss. Your mom and dad didn't make it."

Nooooo!!!! Mom and dad can't be dead! Why? He is lying! This doctor doesn't know what he is talking about!! But then I look at him and the nurse, they are staring at me with sympathy. I realize it's true, mom and dad are dead. I am never going to see them again.

I scream and cry! This is my fault! Why am I alive and they are dead! It's my fault! I will never forgive myself! I DON'T DESERVE ANYTHING!

I continue to cry and convince myself that everything is my fault. I feel the world going dark and fall fast asleep.
