yoongi
yoongi couldn't sleep.
he laid down on the black couch, unable to stop thinking about the kiss. whenever he ran a hand through his hair, he'd remember the way jennie slightly tugged on it as her lips were pressed against his. he loved the feeling of her arms around his neck, pulling their bodies closer to the point where jennie could probably feel his heartbeat.
yoongi felt like a high school girl, grinning so wide his cheeks hurt and every nerve in his body acting up. he felt fuzzy and gripped onto the blanket draped over him.
jennie was driving him crazy.
-
it had been a couple of months since yoongi had returned home, since he's seen his parents. he had been camping in his studio, sleeping on the couch and living on takeout, too hesitant to go back. he'd been taking showers at jin's apartment, and his ever so loving hyung would always cook meals for him as often as possible, packing the leftovers for yoongi to take back to the studio.
ever since his mother nearly threw away all his equipment after he got caught writing lyrics instead of studying for the exams - which was, in fact, in two months - yoongi had left the house and went all out, buying a decent sized studio with the money he earned selling music tracks and doing gigs. he had been saving up for one anyway. besides, he just couldn't seem to get along with his parents.
he has tried to prove himself - several times, irrefutably - begging them to come to at least one of his performances so that they could at least see that what he was doing was worth something. but they would always turn down his request, saying that they were busy and that they didn't have time for one of his little 'talent shows'. he had laughed in disbelief. they couldn't take him even the least bit seriously, couldn't even bother calling it a performance.
so he gave up trying and left.
the night yoongi couldn't sleep, he decided it'd be better if he just wrote lyrics for the song for jennie instead of letting his mind wander any more than it already did. he didn't want to let himself overthink again. he sat up, letting the blanket pool around his waist. he ran his hand over his face and got up to switch on the lights. sitting at his desk and opening his black notebook, he began to pen down his ideas.
-
yoongi leaned back against the chair, groaning as his spine released a series of cracks. it was 4 am, which was a surprise. yoongi could've sworn he just about sat down half an hour ago, although he did manage to put a whole track together as well as finish writing the entire song. okay, yeah, definitely hasn't been half an hour.
he sighed, eyes running over the lyrics he'd written. they sounded so lonely, probably because as much as yoongi tried to push the thoughts of his parents to the back of his mind, they would always come back and seemingly, those thoughts have found its way into the writing process
while the song ended up being a lot more depressing than he intended it to be, he hoped that jennie would like it.
-
"jennie-ah," yoongi called out as he trudged towards her table once last period ended. he barely managed to get through the day, drinking like, 3 iced coffees. he was only able get at least 2 more hours of sleep before he had to get up for school. exhausted was an understatement.
