Chapter 7- "More like a... Tiger."
Roxanne's POV:
Clunk.
Clunk.
Clunk.
My wedges hit the floor with much force as I walked up the grey stairs of my dull school. I arranged for Jade to drive me to school early so no one
would notice me walking down the halls, in case I stumbled a little. The plan was for me to wait for Jett at his locker to show off my new attire and
get a male's opinion that was not Aiden's.
Jade tortured me last night with a lesson she called 'Boys 101'. She explained to me the difference between a boy being nice and flirtatious. Sadly I
still don't understand the difference, so she decide to attach a small video recorder to my hair clip that pinned back my hair.
"I'm scared." I stated turning around bumping into Jade. We had just entered the building and it was completely empty.
"Suck it up. Your already here now! There is no backing out!" She commanded as she gave me a slight shove into the direction of his locker. "Good
luck, Chick!"

I stopped directly in front of the blue metal. Staring at the small multiple dents it had as my finger lightly traced the number. Shaking my head free of all my worries, I put on my game face. Pulling out a mirror to check my makeup, I blew a kiss at it. Everything looked perfect now I just needed to wait for the target. Drumming my hands on my legs I glanced around the hall as I started to see people appearing. Most of them would continue walking, but some, mostly being males, would glance at me from top to bottom multiple times. Then a cocky smirk would appear on their face as they believed they weren't caught checking me out. Honestly I didn't know how to react to this attention from the male population. It was flattering in a way, but as well repulsive. It was a defiant confident boaster since most of the guys that did pay me attention
were from the popular/jock clique, the clique Jacob was in.Five more minutes passed by with me picking at my nails and the hall becoming more crowded, yet there was no sign of Jett. There were only ten more minutes before period one began, and I still had to grab my material from my locker that just happened to be located on the other half of the school. I sighed as I felt a vibration from my bag that hung on my shoulder. Pulling out my junky, old phone a slight smile made its way onto my face.
Figured he hadn't came yet. Don't worry already have all your crap for class. Good luck, again. -J
Sliding the phone back into my bag I propped my foot against the bottom locker as I watched him walk through the double doors. His head hung low, giving me the belief he had not seen me, as glasses covered his eyes. A dark grey shirt clung to his torso, light wash jeans hung losely on his waist but tightened enough at the ankle for him to tuck them into his black combat boots. He was halfway down the hall, his head still hanging low, when I pretended to stare ahead at a guy attempting to flirt with an upperclassman. A small giggle came out as I watched the disgusted look the brunette delivered to him before she walked away.
"Well hello, gorgeous." His voiced echoed in a seductive tone into my ear causing my heart beat to pick up. He didn't recognize me. Now was time to go through with the plan and put to use what Jade had taught me.
"Hello to you too, Jett." Flipping my hair to the side as my face turned to meet his a small, sly smirk played across my lips as the words left them.
