Chapter 12

I texted Marisa to meet me at a park the we use to go to as kids. I decided to ask Marisa out tonight so hopefully this goes right.

When Marisa finally got here she pulled me into a hug

" Hey K.C, why did you want to meet here?" Marisa ask as she release me from the hug

"Here's the thing, I have a mission coming up-"before I could finish she cut me off

"You have to date someone don't you?" She asked , frowning a bit

"Yes" before she could cut me off again I quickly continued " The organization want me to date you."

"What , why?" Marisa asked turning her head to the side slightly.

"It's a long story that you would see play out eventually."

"So let me get this straight, you have to do mission that might take awhile, the organization wants us to date and because of that this is the only reason you're some what asking me out?" She said as she stepped back.

"Yes and no." Marisa looked at me like this was the most confusing thing ever.

"Yes to the organization wanting us to date and me being on this mission for awhile, No to this being the only reason for me asking you to be my girlfriend, I was going to ask you on our third date." I said as I rubbed the back of my head.

Marisa stepped really close to me and wrapped her arms around my neck.

" You never said the words K.C"

Oh my god , she is making this harder than I wanted it to be.

"Marisa will you be my girlfriend?" I asked really quietly.

"What was that I couldn't hear you?"

"Will you be my girlfriend."
I said loudly and slowly.

She laughed before connecting our lips.

I guess that's a yes.

After hanging out with Marisa a little bit longer I walked her home then walk to my house.

As I open the door my family was already waiting for me. I told them that I was going to ask Marisa out for the mission and explain everything to her.

"So how did it go" my brother asked me with his hot breath all in my face.

"Okay question number one, why do your breath smell like your tongue took a swim in a dumpster and a pile of your old dirty gym clothes?" I said pushing him back before continuing "Question two why do you care?"

K.C stop being mean to your brother." My mom spoke up as she saw Ernie trying to smell his breath

"K.C we are supposed to know the relationship status between you and Marisa so the organization knows when to and when to not take action." My father explains

"Fine, I explained to her what is happening and she agreed to it." I lied a little.

"Great, now we have to get back to the organization as soon as possible." My dad walked away to contact them.

I turn around to see Ernie still trying to find out if his breath smelled that bad or not.

"Boy if you don't stop I'm going to slap you, you're making the room extra hot." I slapped his wrist.
