Hana's P.O.V.
I'm now on my way to my next scheduled class, Yoongi, Minsook and I had already separated, like the usual we promised to see each other at the our usual meeting place before going home, though as I drag my feet along the hallway, my mind goes back to what happened at the girl's comfort room.
Could it be just a coincidence that something supernatural once again happened during Jeongguk's birthday? Not to mention the seemingly other Jeongguk from my previous class appeared today...
Gulping, I just continue to walk, not minding much the direction as I most likely have memorized the path and already knowing it even with my eyes closed, my mind trying to come up with some with some answers whether all that happened earlier is just a mere coincidence. At this point, I should just probably believe my first theory since that seem to be the only answer for all of this, but I still don't want to jump into conclusions.
After all, there are some rare cases where people look so identical that some thought they're the same person.
But, same face, same name...
As I finally drifted back to reality and lift my head to check my surrounding since I notice that everyone have gone quiet and that the temperature seemed to drop, I am puzzled when I found myself no where near where I'm supposed to be, neither that I'm on the path that leads to my next class.
What the heck?
I pull my lips into a thin line as I scan the area, "I probably got too lost in my thoughts that I just wandered everywhere," I mutter, reassuring myself more than anything as I breathe out, my heart pounded for a second when I saw my breath.
Autumn isn't this cold.
"You're okay, Hana, you're okay, you're just a little bit lost, that's all," I say, picking which way I should go basing from my gut feeling.
Turning to the corner, instead of seeing stairs, another long quiet hallway welcomes me, "Has everyone already got into their classes?" I ask, only to be answered by the sound of a soft 'ting'— like the soft pressing of a piano key.
Huffing, I brush off the weird feeling forming in my stomach as I walk towards where the sound is coming from, where I could possibly ask where is this area of the university, however the weird feeling in my stomach only grow more wild that I have to clutch it. I halt my steps.
Looking over my shoulder where I came from, I notice that I'm not that far from it yet then looking over the direction where I decide to take just now. "Maybe I should just go back," I mumble before taking a step backwards as the music start to sound a little creepy and a little bit taunting.
Another step backwards, then I whip my whole body around, only to feel something quite hard hit my face that I almost loose my balance because of how sudden it is.
Letting out a small grunt, I open my eyes. I almost screech when I saw who it is.
"Hey, miss, I'm sorry, a-are you okay?" he exclaims, looking down at me with his doe eyes.
I blinked, once, twice— but he's definitely standing in front of me.
Jeongguk.
Jeongguk's P.O.V.
Silence.
Silence wrapped around me and Hana, and I can tell that she's quite shock for seeing me as her pupils visibly quivered at the sight of me, and I hate it.
I hate the fact that she's already standing in front of me, it feels like she's unreachable. However, who am I to be disappointed anyway? But then, all of those disappointment faded when I see the necklace I gave her last time where I thought I'd never see her again. She kept it... almost letting out a smile, I snapped out of it.
Remember why you're here in the first place, Jeongguk.
Just as I am about to say something again, Hana beat me into it first, "Uh.. y-yeah I'm fine sorry for bumping into you, I wasn't looking where I was going," she says, finally looking down, looking small and confused.
"I'm just lost, I don't even know why, I must've blank out too long that I didn't notice where I am going," she adds, fiddling on the strap of her bag.
No you didn't, it was the music.
I nod my head, "I see, I'm actually the same as you since I'm new here, I'm trying to familiarize the place but I ended up in here," I say, walking next to her as she finally moves away from the danger she almost walk into.
I feel quite relieved even though I know she won't stop anytime soon, not at least she gets what she's after.
"I'm Jeon Jeongguk, by the way, your seatmate...?" I say out of nowhere, the way how she visibly flinch make my heart ache. "Yeah I know," she says rather coldly and I take that as a cue to shut up.
When we finally turn to the other side, I take a quick glance and glared daggers when I see her standing outside of the room, hair sticking in any direction, bloody fingers and thighs and all. She slowly tilts her head to the side that made the scar on her neck visible as I caught a glimpse of her wide opened eyes and her lips stretching into a big comical, sinister smile before mouthing something that looks like,
"I'm just starting."
