Tom was never the perfect guy at flirting. He was always nervous around some girls. He was extremely nervous whenever he was around Mia. She made him feel special in a certain type of way. She always put a smile on his face. She never failed to make him happy. No matter what she did, funny or not he was happy to be around her. He instantly fell for her when they met. Mia on the other hand, did get nervous. Not because of tom, but she always got anxious. She began to like tom after they got to know each other more. She was worried about losing him for a different girl. She still thinks about that to this day.
She's never felt this way about a boy, ever. All the other guys were just crushes. But she knew with Tom that this was more then a crush. She liked him. She's not the one to talk about her feelings, so no one knows. Not because she has no one to talk to, but because she thought they would make fun of her. When she was around tom she felt confident and happy. He would always compliment her even if she looked like a wrecked. He didn't care about how she looked, she know that she was pretty anyways and that'll never change for him. She wished she could read his mind just to know what he's feeling too. If it was the same, or different.
Tom couldn't tell if someone was flirting or not, she was flirting. When she was doing it Tom would never do it back, at least to her. If tom doesn't like her she would want to be friends more than anything. She can't live without him and she's made that very clear. But everyday feels like an internity for her. She just wanted to be close to him, he wanted to call her his, and she wanted the same.
