Chapter 4

I spent more and more time with Garret the next couple of weeks, and now i had reasons to like him.

Not only was he cute but he was really funny and nice. And besides failing geography last year he was pretty smart. I mean he wasnt the smartest ever, just a straight B or C student. I had always had straight A's but Garret knew alot about what was going on in the world is what i meant by smart.

Then came the Friday of the second week of school. I woke up happily knowing me and Garret finished our science project already so that gave us a whole extra hour to talk today. Even though I had been texting him everyday since last Friday when he gave me his number.

I got ready sat down to eat breakfast.

It had been over a week since Ali said shed tell me her problem when she could. Even when her mom picked me up in the mornings, she acted like nothing was wrong.

I put my plate away and heard honking so i ran and grabbed my backpack from my room and went to the car, not knowing today would be one of the most surprising days of my life.

When we got out of the car and Trevor had walked away, Ali grabbed my arm.

"Britany, Im sorry i havent been able to tell you anything, but I can now."

"Ok."

"But not now. After school. Meet me by the football field."

"Ok." I repeated as she walked away.

Garret then walked up.

"She tell you what was wrong?" he asked.

"Not yet." I told him.

"Oh. Ok. Well, Lets go."

Sitting in all my classes, I actually wasnt looking forward to science with Garret, I was looking forward to talking to Ali after school.

The time finally came and the last bell rang.

I met Ali on the bleachers over watching Trevor and the rest of the team practice for next weeks homecoming game.

"Alright Ali," I said "What's up?" "I'm sorry Britany. Ive been really nervous and scared and freaked out lately."

"But why?"

"Because...I...I... don't know how to say this. I havent told anyone but Jackson and dont want to tell anyone else, but its gonna become obvious soon."

"What?" I was thinking. "Just tell me Ali. Your my best friend, right? You can tell me anything."

"Ok, well, you know how I lied to my mom all summer saying i was going to your house but go do something with Jackson?"

"Uh yeah." How could i forget? We both almost got busted when her mom called my house looking for her.

"Well, um, one of the nights I told you me and Jackson were at the movies we weren't."

Oh my god.

"Alison..." I started to say before she interrupted me.

"We went to his house and..." I couldn't let her finish. I had to interrupt her this time.

"What the hell were you thinking?!" I screamed so loud the team stopped and looked up. "Britany stop! This is exactly why I wasn't gonna tell you." she started to cry. I sat back down next to her from standing up to yell.

"I'm sorry Alison. Its just, thats stupid! Your only fourteen, he's only fifteen, what were you guys thinking?" She barried her face into her knees.
