June 18th
Archie's P.O.VI'm so taken aback by the fact she's kissing me right now, I forget to kiss her back for the first two seconds. But then my brain unfreezes and I'm doing it.
Her lips are so soft and warm and taste a little like strawberries. I wrap my arms around her, pulling her wet clothed body against my own. Her hands are on either side of my neck, and one of them ventures away into my hair. She knots her fingers, and the feeling drives me crazy. This girl is the epitome of temptation and desire for me. Everything about her, not only physically but also intellectually, spikes my attention.
She lets out a soft moan when I lick her bottom lip, and her mouth opens easily for me. I take my time exploring her mouth, and find it amusing when her tongue comes back with a force I hadn't expected. We dance for control, and I don't want it to be over. But I feel the rush of adrenaline fading as she eases off her toes. I bring my hand back up to hold her face as she pulls away slowly, getting out every last kiss she can. And I'll happily give her all of it.
When we pull back we're both out of breath again like before when we'd been laughing. I feel her cheek warm up as she blushes, even in the evening light I can see the warm pink tone surfacing.
"I really like you too Archie Andrews." She smiles as her eyes meet mine. And hearing those words...I can't help but lean in and kiss her again.
She giggles against my mouth and the sound is too good to describe.
"I guess you were right," I say as we turn to keep walking back. "Interfering can be fun."
She laughs as I reach for her hand. It's much smaller than mine, and a little cold as well when we twine our fingers together. Vegas sets off in front of us as the sun continues sinking down, seemingly into the ocean for its light to be extinguished.
We chat absentmindedly about which time I should come over in order to continue with the lessons. Jasmine explains how today was her day off from working in the local pub and restaurant, also stationed on the water about ten minutes down the road. She works the night shifts usually, from four o'clock until ten. We decide to meet at the same time we did today, around nine thirty. And then we can go until she has to leave at four.
We reach her house sooner than I wanted to. The feeling of holding her hand and be able to be close to her is intoxicating; addicting almost.
She hops up the stairs to her deck as I stay on the second step, our hands still joined but only just.
"So I'll see you tomorrow?" She asks me and I nod.
"Nine thirty, I'll be here." I say and she smiles and looks to our guitars leaning up against the chairs.
"I mean what I said before Arch, you really do have a way with playing. Naturally, it comes to you. I know it's not my decision to make but as your teacher," she giggles and steps forward when I pull her. "I recommend you stick with it Andrews."
"Any other recommendations?" I ask as I step up the next stair so we're level with each other.
"Maybe one," she shrugs, her blue eyes bright and teasing as she leans in and kisses me. I let go of her hand to bring her in by the small of her back and her arms loop around my neck.
"Or two." She says when pulling back quickly and smiles against my lips. I chuckle and pull her back in, not ready for her to go yet.
She pulls me up the last step and tightens her hold around my neck. I love the way her skin feels on mine, being this close doesn't feel close enough. She steps back more until she's pressed up against the side of the house, next to the sliding glass door. I break off and kiss her jaw, under her ear, down her neck all the way to her collarbone. She's breathing heavily and knots her fingers harder in my hair.
"Not that I don't love this," she pants, trying to regain breath. "But you have to go before I change my mind." She giggles and I look to her, seeing her hair drying into its messy and beautiful curls and waves. Her eyes are bright and wild, and I'm sure mine reflect the same.
I grin and put my hand on her cheek. She leans into it and I step away.
"Tomorrow?" She asks and I nod.
"Tomorrow." I quickly lean in to kiss her forehead before turning and jogging back down the stairs. I call for Vegas and he follows behind me.
Our B&B comes into view shortly and I wonder if I should tell my dad what really happened, or if I should just tell a half truth. Part of me wants to gush to someone about how amazing Jasmine is, while the other part wants to keep her a secret, just for me to know and no one else.
