We stood up, I slowly and reluctantly untwined my fingers from Gaelio's. No one had to know what we had been doing during the meeting after all. I could see the shock of my affection still lingering upon Gaeilo's face and it was slightly humorous.

"Hey, McGillis," We turned around to see Carta smiling behind us, "Oh, Gaeilo, didn't see you there," His obvious eye-roll made me chuckle, "Something wrong, McGillis?" I quickly stifled it as a cough, bringing my hand to my mouth.

"No nothing, you were saying?"

"How is Almiria?" she looked at Gaeilo and the question was clearly aimed at him but seeing as he looked like a dog who had been left outside for too long, I replied,

"She is wonderful, thank you, we were just saying yesterday..."

"I wasn't talking to you! And I, Carta Issue of the  Outer Earth Orbit Regulatory Joint Fleet will always get a response from whomever I require to speak to!" I shook my head in bewilderment, she thought she was so important, was it because she was older than Gaeilo and I? was it because her family was the most important of the Seven Stars?

"Almiria is good thank you, Carta, now we really must be going," He started to turn back around and I began to follow,

"McGillis, may I have a word," She leaned forward, close to me, "Alone," she whispered. 'oh no, not this again' i thought.

"Anything you have to say to me, I can't see why you cannot say it to Gaeilo also." I grabbed Gaeilo's arm so that he could not walk away and leave me to have this conversation, yet again.

"I think we should spend some time together." I took a sharp intake of breath,

"Well, you see, Almiria..."

"Yes, of course, I understand, but she doesn't have to know."

"Don't you have important work to do?" Gaeilo butted in, "Leading the Outer Earth Orbit Regulatory Fleet, as you so love to remind us." I loved the way he would always stand up for his sister, his loyalty was something that, even as a boy, I admired greatly about him.

"Just because I am proud of my rank does not mean that I am all work and no play, Gaeilo, you must understand that?" She responded challengingly,

"Yes, Carta,  I can assure you that he does. Now if you can please excuse us, we must leave." Gaelio nodded in agreement and lead me out of the meeting room. When we made it a far way down the corridor Gaeilo turned to me and said;

"How many more times must I hear that conversation? About you and Almiria and Carta? You can't have them both, McGillis, I won't have Almiria hurt by her."  He shook his head and looked down at the floor, a defeatest attitude was uncommon for Gaeilo and it concerned me, I moved my hand to his cheek, quickly checking that there weren't any prying eyes,

"I know. But, you know, there is only one colour that I want to be messing in, Mr Baudiun." I reached for a piece of his purple hair that hung down slightly lower than the rest, I knew it annoyed him, and I twisted it around my fingers, being extremely careful not to tug it too hard. He moved his hand and placed it lightly on top of mine, and he said in his crisp, pure voice;

"I guess it'll be a good colour on you too," I felt a hand on my waist and as my eyes gently closed, heaven upon my lips.
