The rain fell silently against the small window nestled into the back wall of my new room. Boxes lay strewn across the floorboards just waiting to be cleaned up. Drawings of animals and numerous other things covered the walls of the room. I smiled proudly as I looked at my almost complete bedroom. My smile dropped instantly when I spotted the one box that I had failed to unpack. "Ireland," was scrawled neatly on the side of the box. Back home, well dad's home, not mine.

A brisk knock on my door interrupted my train of thought."Who is it?" I called knowing just well who it was.

"Just your mother!" My mom replied as she pushed my door open. She walked in briskly, her floral dress swishing calmly behind her as she sat down beside me."I just came to tell you that your friend Jacob has invited you over to his house, ya know on the reservation."

"Jacob?" I smiled fondly. Jacob Black was one of my friends from when I used to live in Forks. When we moved away me and Jake promised to keep in-touch which we did to this very day. My grin grew bigger at the thought,"Yeah sure, tell him I'll be there."

My mom slowly got up and tapped my shoulder as she walked past,"I'll tell him that you'll be there at four, okay?"Then she swiftly exited the room as the door gently closed behind her.

After that I just sat on my bed for a good hour, thinking about different things like my new house and stuff like that. When I finally decided to get up to check the time the clock read 3:50 pm. Shit.I quickly scrambled to put on some proper clothes instead of my sweatpants and tank top. I pulled on some dungarees with a white shirt and a maroon fleece over that. I yanked open my bedroom door and rushed down the stairs of the attic towards the second floor. Scrambling, even more, I somehow managed to yank on a pair of converse without falling down the second flight of stairs. I pulled open the front door making sure I had my phone and my house keys. I yelled a quick, "Bye!" to my mother before I slammed the front door.

I pulled my keys from my back pocket, jumped on my bike and started the engine. The black motorbike roared to life and I quickly swerved out of the driveway of my new house. I pushed the accelerator and headed off towards my best friend.

"What are you not going to come and hug me?! I just got back?!" I yelled teasingly knowing Jacob would hear and got up off my bike.

Soon enough Jacob sauntered out from his garage grinning like a mad man. I got off my bike and ran at Jake. He stood waiting for the impact of my hug. Finally, I reached him and he stumbled back from the force of my hug and started hugging me back. I finally let go of him and grinned.

"Did you miss me?" I asked teasingly as we walk not towards Jake's house but the woods.

"You wish," he replied cockily.

I punched his shoulder lightly at the statement as we continued walking until we got to the edge of the woods.I looked at Jacob before I turned to face the woods again."Race you to the pond!" I yelled to Jacob as I sprinted off. I weaved swiftly through the trees gaining speed with every step. My brown hair whipped around my face as I came to a halt in front of a rather picturesque pond surrounded by flowers and pine trees. Jacob eventually caught up and stopped beside me, his long black hair rested calmly on his back.

Suddenly I turned my head towards Jacob realizing that his shirt had disappeared. He was now just wearing brown khaki shorts and black runners. "What happened to your shirt?" I asked trying not to l grin at the prospect of it being torn up on a branch or something.

"I took it off, no big deal," Jacob replied defensively as he edged towards the shallow end of the pond slowly.

"Okay, Okay! Just don't be crazy Jake," I answered smoothly,"So, do you want to play skip a rock?" I also edged closer to the more shallow end of the water were seven stepping stones were nestled neatly in the water.
