Holby City Imagine #1

Imagine being the new Doctor on Darwin, your 24 years old and just finished your final year at university. You had been struggling with your emotions after your adopted parents died in a car crash and you haven't been able to focus or even sleep. You blame your self for the crash, you argued with them before they left your house which you shared with your boyfriend and his twin girls.

Your first day began with you being late, your car broke down on the way in and you knew things would be stressful without the car breaking down. You finally managed to get to the car park of Holby City Hospital and you immediately ran into the hospital to get the lift up to the ward.

"Mrs Y/L/N (your last name) your late" a gingery brown haired woman folded her arms as you ran out of the ward. You recognised her as Jac Naylor

"I'm sorry, Mrs Naylor. My car broke down and I had to wait for it to get sorted so I was able to get in, it won't happen again" you apologised to the older woman who began walking and you followed her.

"Get changed your with me today" Jac informed you and you nodded and headed into the locker rooms, you changed into your uniform and left the room to find Jac

"Zosia, Ollie this is Y/N (Your Name) recently passed and completed University" Jac explained to your new colleagues.

"It's nice to meet you Zosia, Ollie" you nodded to the pair at the nurses station. You followed jac to your first patient, a woman suffering with palpitations, you observed the woman and waited to find out what was wrong.

Your afternoon was even more stressful, it began with a phone call from your foster sister Destiny, she had been kicked out of School and had nowhere to go, she asked you if you could take her in you obviously said yes. Afterwards you had to go to theatre with Jac, that didn't end well, infact the patient died on the operating table.

"Y/N my office now" Jac glared towards you, you obeyed her and headed to the office knowing you were getting the blame, you blamed yourself for a lot of things, your foster parents car crash, your foster sisters expulsion from school a lot more aswell as this to add onto the list.

"I'm sorry for the mess up" You apologised looking down as stand up in front of her at her desk

"Y/N you should have focused! I agreed to have you in theatre today because I believe you have it in you! Your results from university were impressive." Jac raised her voice

"It won't happen again, I promise. I wasn't thinking straight, my foster sister had just phoned me to tell me she had been kicked out of school. I know that's no excuse but i admit I messed up" you apologised to jac who sighed

"As long as it doesn't happen again then I guess we can let it slide but don't let it happen again" she warned you and you agreed

"It won't happen again" you promised
