This chapter is dedicated to @notarandomgirl , because I love her books so so so much! Also, I can say that this chapter was also inspired by the title of one of her amazing books, 'She's in Love with a Geek'.

From where I'm sitting, I have a better angle of Theo. I wish I'd brought my handy scanner with me, but no, I just-so-happened to leave it at home beside my cellphone. I'm such a dork, right?

So I guess I'll have to 'scan' him manually.

Judging from the distance between his foot and his waist, plus the added height of his torso, neck and head; I can infer that he's around five-foot-eight, maybe nine.

He has deep blue eyes and really dark brown hair, and a sort-of pale-ish complexion. Also, he's left-handed, because he writes with that hand, unless though, he's ambidextrous.

His left foot is--

"Hey, were you checking him out?" a girl's voice asks from my other side. It takes me a split second to realize what she means.

"What?! No!"

"You looked like you were," she says, raising her eyebrows. I shake my head urgently. "No, I wasn't."

"Ms. Brianna Perth, how many times have I told you to not harass fellow students?" Mr. Grayson's unusually booming voice asks. The girl named Brianna faces him abruptly and nods. "Sorry, sir."

"Ms. West, can you answer my question?" he says, looking at me. I sit on my seat like a deer caught in the headlights. What was the question? "Excuse me, sir, but I couldn't hear you well. What was the question again?"

"I asked the class who was the first philosopher."

Oh, thank God this was the question. It didn't require my attention to what he was saying previously, which would really leave me in a sticky situation. I clear my throat. "Thales of Miletus."

"Correct," Mr. Grayson says, nodding in satisfaction. He regards the whole class. "At least someone pays attention in my class."

I bite my lip nervously, a habit that developed over time when I felt in the center of attention. Mr. Grayson taps the whiteboard. "I'm going to group you into pairs now. You'll be doing an essay on the movie, Les Miserablès."

"Oh! I love that movie!" a girl in huge glasses exclaims from the front of the class. "I just love Cosette and her voice!"

"Sabrina, I don't think now is the time to confess your admiration of the tragic movie called 'The Miserable'," Mr. Grayson informs her. The poor girl shrinks back into her seat and cowers behind her notebook.

"Here are the pairings," Mr. Grayson says, picking up a sheet of paper from his desk. How long has he had it?

"Brianna and Wallace..."

Oh please don't let it be boy-girl.

"Sabrina and Peter..."

Oh no oh no oh no... it's boy-girl. Now the only thing I'm hoping is that this project won't be like every clichè story where the girl gets paired up with the guy who she doesn't like--

"Erin and Theo."

--the stars aren't in my favor.

Whilst Erin is suffering with the eerie company of the creepiest guy in the whole school, Hana and I have to manage with Shane Walker. And it's not as easy as you think.
