Danny has become convinced that he might be going insane.
because when he least expects it, either his arm or some other body part becomes invisible or will faze through things.
it's escalated to the point where he couldn't deny it anymore.
The accident did something to him.
when it first started happening he thought he was seeing things. he'd try grabbing his pencil one time during class and his hand would faze right through the desk. other times he'd find that his right hand had completely disappeared, which scared the hell out of him. There were even rare occasions, where is reflection would be replaced with that apparition he saw in the basement. Danny avoided looking at any reflective surfaces after that.
he couldn't control these abilities, they just happened at random, like they had a mind of their own.
His powers had a sudden increase in losing control for the past three straight days, and he'd have to hide constantly to make sure nobody saw him.
if anyone ever did, he'll be labeled as a freak.
this resulted in him being very insecure, constantly worrying about when his powers will act up again.
he refused to ever go down to the basement after the accident.
he knows he has to go back down there sometime, because as of right now he still has no clue what really happened to him.
he contemplated telling his parents about the accident, they didn't even question how the portal suddenly started working. He'd hesitate every time, he went into the portal when they weren't looking, when he shouldn't have, and then gained strange abilities that he couldn't control.
'should I tell them? but if I do what will they do to me? will they still see me as their son?'
As a result, Danny held off on telling them.
it's been almost a month now, and Danny still doesn't have any control.
He needs to tell someone, it's too much to handle alone.
he thought about telling Jazz, his older sister, but that idea died quickly.
Jazz would tell their parents in a heartbeat.
Then he thought about telling his closest friends, Tucker and Sam.
He wasn't so sure if he could trust his friends to keep it a secret. (would they still be is friends after he told them?)
However, it was a better and safer option then Jazz.
During class, Danny stared at his hand with a concerned expression.
he was paranoid, he didn't want to have to constantly worry about his hands fazing through things or going invisible.
It was almost as stressful as worrying about being bullied by Dash or getting his homework done on time for Mr. Lancer.
he honestly wished he had better control, or could at least predict when his powers would act up so he would be ready for it when it happened.
when the bell rang, Danny packed up his things and searched for his friends from among the other students.
Sam and Tucker were already waiting for him.
"come on dude!" Tucker called out to Danny, who had a delayed reaction.
Danny's having trouble sleeping lately.
During the night, he worries if he'll faze through the bed while he's sleeping. so far it's only happened once...
