(Ella's POV)
As I walked to school, I thought 'World, take me now...', because Emily is coming up with scenarios of how I should ask out Jonathon. One of them even involves a kangaroo... I guess she always has had a...creative mind. *Sigh*
"Are you listening to me, Lucy?", asks Emily in a super high-pitched voice.
"Yes, of course!", I reply in a fake happy voice.
"Then, what did I say?", she asks with a smug look.
"Something about a kangaroo...?" I ask, unsure of myself.
"No, the one with the whale, but you were close!", she laughs.
I see the school in sight and sigh a sigh of relief, but that relief is short lived when I see Jonathon outside the gates waving at me. I wave back as to not seem rude. I walk up to him and as we're walking through the gates, he grabs my hand, which in turn makes Emily squeal.
"Can we have a moment?", Jonathon asks Emily with pleading eyes.
"Oh, sure!", Emily says before she winks and skips away.
"What's up!", I say casually.
Then he turns to me and kisses me. I'm completely frozen at first, but then I kiss him back. He's the first to pull away. He looks me straight in the eyes and says
"I want to do that forever. I want to be able to hold and kiss you anytime I want. So, will you be my girlfriend?"
I'm stunned, but I have to give him a solid answer, so I smile my biggest smile and say yes. His eyes sparkle as he picks me up and spins me around, then kisses me again.
I look over, expecting to see Emily freaking out, but instead she's talking to a boy, Jaxon. I smile mischievously as I think of a plan. Time for payback!
