Siti Fatimah saw what was happening. She waited for him at the river bank, but he never showed up. She was impatient. She wanted to jump and help him.

Before she jumped, she told her guards a message, "If you see pile of soil, it means it is my grave.". Then she jumped.

The guards waited and waited. After several days, people saw a pile of soil. The soil getting bigger and bigger. It finally become an island. People named it Kemaro island. People named it that because the island never drowned up even the water level of the Musi river is high.
