"Meg, seriously why can't Sam or Dean look after Cas," you complain to Meg over the phone.
Meg had some demonly duties to attend to, so she needed someone to look after Cas,, I mean he isn't exactly capable of looking after himself after what happened to him with the leviathans and helping Sam, so Meg had decided to give him round the clock care to make sure he didn't do anything stupid.
"Because (Y/N), Clarence can't take care of himself while he's in candyland," Meg always did have a sarcastic remark in store for anyone no matter who it was, "Listen, I just need you to look after Cas just until I get back from working, I'm sure you can handle it, think of him as an adorable puppy, let him follow you around ask a couple questions then play with him-,"
"What, Meg!"
You hear her chuckle on the other line, "No, not that kinda play, the play as in play cards with him or play a board game or freakin' patty cake, ok, I've never said this but please," you sigh and contemplate the idea, on the plus side you'd get to spend time with Cas cause you maybe had a slight, okay gigantic crush on the angel. Well he was always sweet to you, never got angry with you, always just super duper nice to you, besides have you seen him, God did well with Jimmy Novak.
"You know what, ok fine when do you need me there,"
"Right about now would be great,"
"Okay be there in half an hour," you hear her sigh in annoyance, "Okay but I have to be gone now, so I'll have to leave him alone but you better pump the gas ok,"
"Ok, see you late Meg,"
"Bye."
So you got in your car, a beautiful black 1967 mustang, ran so smoothly.
Eventually, you got to the hospital where the boys had left Cas in Meg's care, finding his room was a little hard since Meg hadn't told you his room number. You got to his room and he was sitting cross legged on the bed with a smile on his face and when he saw you enter the room his face lit up like the fourth of July, "(Y/N), hi how are you, did you see the bees on your way in, they're such peaceful creatures," God he was so messed up and innocent and so very vunerable.
"Hey Cas, I'm good, yeah I saw the bees, they're very peaceful, how are you feeling, you doin' okay," Cas's face had softened and he stood up and pulled you into a hug, an unexpected one at that but it was a long hug, one that you reciprocated quickly after you realized what was exactly happening, it was a warm hug especially since he still had his trench coat on and that thing was warm.
You pulled away first, Castiel seemed like he wanted to ask a question, he seemed to be very apprehensive about it so you asked first, "Cas, you okay? Did you want to ask something?"
" I was wondering if you wanted to go sit on the bench outside, there is a great view of the bees?" Cas seemed weary about your answer, but he shouldn't be,
"Yeah I'd love to Cas, come on we'll go now," Cas was ecstatic at the answer you gave him.
When you got down to the bench, you realized how chilly it was and Cas seemed to notice that, so he shrugged off his trench coat and put it on you, you jumped in suprise because you were too busy staring at the honey bees, "Cas, you really don't have to do that, aren't you gonna be cold?" He shrugged and said, "Angels don't get cold, but humans do and I don't want you to get cold," you slightly blushed at that comment, "Well thank you Cas,"
"Your welcome (Y/N)."
So you two just sat and watched the bees buzz around.
You hadn't realized how much time had passed until your phone started ringing, you jumped and looked at the called ID and saw that it was Meg, so you mouthed Meg to Cas and he understood, so you answered, "Hey Meg, what's up,"
"Hey, worked is finishing a little early-," you could hear screaming in the back round knowing what 'finishing early meant,' "So I'll be back in, ohh lets say half an hour, okay I've got to go bye-," in the back round you could hear Meg screaming at someone "Shut it up already!" So you hung up the phone before you could hear anything else unfortunate.
You then turned to Cas and said, "Meg said she's coming back early, about half an hour in fact, so that means I'm going pretty soon," you see Cas start to frown and you immediately become concerned, "Cas, cas, are you okay? What's the matter?"
He kept the frown up and said, "Well I had such a good time today, watching the bees with you, and I-I don't want you to leave," he admitted , he looked down and mumbled something you didn't quite understand so you asked him to repeat what he had said, "I said I don't want you to leave because I love you (Y/N)," that put a look of pure shock on your face, and Cas had seen your face and thought you didn't reciprocate his feelings, this is before you brain had processed what he'd said.
Once you had processed everything you stood up quickly to catch up with him, he didn't hear you coming so you yelled out "Cas!" He turned around just in time to catch you as you had launched yourself at him and wrapped your legs around his waist as you smashed his lips together with his, he stumbled back not expecting you to jump into his arms and quickly regained his composure and pushed his lips back onto yours just as forcefully as you did him, you sighed as you tasted honey on his lips and felt the light stubble he had and just enjoyed the moment.
You pulled back first as you needed oxygen, taking deep breathes as you did so, Cas putting his forehead against yours whispered loudly so you'd hear him, "I love you (Y/N)," so you whispered back just as loudly "I love you too Castiel," he pulled back looking surprised as he said, "Really?!" You giggled at his reaction and replied, "Yes Castiel, I love you, so much," he smiled at you and kissed you again more softly this time as he set you back on the ground, wrapping his arms around your waist and pulls back,
"Promise me you'll come back soon," he says, you respond with "I promise, I'll come back real soon and we can have a proper date," he smiles and kisses you one last time pulls back then hugs you tight, when he lets go he takes hold of your hand and leads you back to his room. The walk to his room is silent but when you two get there he goes and sits back on the bed like he was when you got there but instead of looking straight ahead he's looking at you with adoration in his eyes, that is until Meg walks in, "Hey, how was Clarence, not to much trouble I did tell you,"
"No he was no trouble at all Meg listen I've got to get going, got to help Sam and Dean with research, but if you ever need me to do this again you know my number 'kay," she nods and tells Cas to say goodbbye, he looks at you and says, "Goodbye (Y/N), don't forget to say bye to the bees on the way out,"
"I definitely will, bye Cas, Meg," you give them both a nod and walk out, not before smiling a Cas and exiting the room, knowing full well there's something to look forward too next time you come.
