escape
______________________________
It was a brand new day, and the relationship of the two housemates was back to what it had been. Not normal, but what it had been previously. Except for the occasional blood drawings, and the harsh treatment, but other than that, there was no punishment, nor injury to eachother. The two were currently inside of his house, doing nothing but sitting in silence.
Lucy stares at the passing robins, that flew graciously throughout the sky. She sighs and shakes her head, wondering however could she gain back her freedom. "It's cold." The blonde whispers in a monotone, leaning against the windowsill. Her eyes were void of life, and her face was tear-streaked. She couldn't tell if she was speaking of the temperature, or his heart. His frigid, unemotional soul.
Her paralyzed state wasn't getting any better, and she was still rendered immobile. He enjoyed looking after her, taking care of her every need--so there were no complaints on his end. "I'll grab you a blanket, wait one minute." He smiles softly and heads down the empty hallway, turning to the right and continuing on.
She turns her head to the window again and folds her palms in her lap, taking a deep breath. Lucy curls up atop of the mattress and waits there, her eyes transfixed to the window. The robins flew aimlessly, frolicking around in the multiple layers of snow. She smiles to herself at the thought of doing the same. A few moments later, Natsu returns with a pile of blankets, sprawling them out over her pallid frame. "This is all I could find, I'm sorry if you're still chilly." He murmurs, taking a seat adjacent from her. "What we're you looking at out there?" He ducks his head to peer out of the glass.
She blinks her eyes a few times, before staring up at him with blank, cold eyes. She points to the small family of robins perched outside of the window frame. "Ah~, you want to go outside, huh?" He smiles but then furrows his eyebrows. "Or would you like some company? I'll be out for a while today, so I might buy you a pet while I'm out." He taps at his chin and she quickly grips onto the sleeve of his sweater.
He tilts his head in confusion. "What's wrong? Are you still cold?" He questions and she shakes her head vigorously.
"T-Take me, too." She whispers, bringing a frown to his lips.
"Wouldn't you rather stay here, where it's warm?" He suggests and she shakes her head again.
"Can't be..alone. Take me..too." Lucy murmurs, tears forming in her eyes. He covers his mouth in an attempt to stop himself.
"A-Alright. But, you'll need a coat." He replies, picking her up and throwing her over his shoulder.
Sure, if she would've stayed, there were a plenty of ways that she could've escaped. But, things were too risky. And she wasn't a fan of homicide.
