{Several years later}

Sora breathed in the fresh air of Seoul. It had been so many years since she had been here that she had forgotten the feeling the bustling city emanated. How long had it been since she had left Korea to live with her stepfather? Seven, eight years? Her mother had, luckily, had her secret lover offer for them to move in with him, just days before they would have lost their house. Sora had of course known nothing of this at the time, but their saviour in shining armour had made everything alright. Well, he had saved her from the streets, but he had taken her from her best friend, from the boy with the deep brown eyes who shone sunlight on her everyday.
Taehyung and Sora had been unable to text for long from foreign countries, and as they ran out of credit within the first day of every month, eventually, they had stopped talking to each other. To combat the loneliness, Sora had delved herself into her schoolwork, receiving higher grades than ever. She had then gotten into a great medical university and had worked hard to complete her doctor's degree. Surprisingly, a renowned brain surgeon had taken a liking for her and kept her by his side for a year as a personal intern. And now here she was, in the place where Taehyung was living, a doctor after all.
She walked away from the airport and hailed a cab. After giving the driver the address to the hospital where she'd be interning, she sat back and watched the city fly by. Absolutely everything reminded her of him. Four years had gone by since the last time they had spoken. She only knew of his whereabouts because, well, he had become so goddamn famous.
The group of then-boys she had met all those years ago had debuted shortly after she had moved to Japan. A fellow classmate had shown her a video of them two years ago, gushing over how handsome and talented they were. Recognising Taehyung immediately_ and gawking over how much more handsome he had become_ Sora had researched everything about them. She had felt the heat of pride blooming in her chest when she saw Tae's nickname: Alien V. Even now and even on such a big scale, he remained himself and made others love that about him. Truly, he made Sora want to be herself, completely and unapologetically.
The taxi pulled up by a large white building and a price pinged up onto the screen in front of her. She tipped the driver and hopped out, pulling her suitcase along with her. After presenting herself to the concierge and being picked up by a fellow intern, Sora was lead to her room, which she would be sharing with another three people. There were only two beds, and she was told their shifts would be rotated in a way that allowed them to take turns sleeping. It already sounded exhausting, but she couldn't wait to start.
She spent the afternoon wandering Seoul, eating from nearly every food stall she walked by. Slowly, thoughts of Taehyung started to fade away, and she stopped thinking about how this was the closest they had been to each other in years.
If life had continued on in such a linear way then, yes, eventually Sora would have forgotten the man who had been there during her darkest trials, and vice-versa. However, it seems that fate had another surprise in store for them. In fact, maybe a certain Demigod of the Wind and Seas missed his two favourite worshipers and had finally decided to butt in.
