Sunny wrapped her arms around Taehyungs neck, kissing him deeply in the midst of the crowd. Those around them either turned away awkwardly or whistled as the couple made out in the middle of the dance floor. Sora couldn't tear her eyes from the sight.

Soon Taehyung took the lead and snaked his arms around her waist, dipping her backwards like in the old movies, his mouth still pressed to hers.

It seemed to last forever, people cheering, the couple completely ignoring traditional PDA rules, and Sora's heart breaking over and over again.

When Sunny had thoroughly proven her point, she stood straight again and, pulling a docile Taehyung behind her, walked further through the crowd to where there were so many people they were all just grinding against each other.

Sora let out a shaky breath, willing the tears obscuring her sight to disappear without slipping down her face. Her prayer went unanswered, and she blindly found her way to the bathrooms, where she splashed cold water on her face.

That did the trick to help her calm down. Once she looked up though, she growled in frustration. They never did show it in dramas, but splashing water onto makeup usually does not look good. If anything, Sora now looked like a Harley Quinn version of Moana. Sure... on Halloween it would have been awesome, and she tucked that idea away for October, but in the meantime, she needed help.

Ten minutes later, Jin found her sat in the improvised costume department again, getting last minute help from the coordi-noonas as they prepared to go to the party themselves. Besides themselves with worry (mostly about the makeup, she assumed), they hustled and bustled around her, slyly bad mouthing Taehyung's tongue display story that had already made its way around the building.

"I mean, can you believe him?" one of them was asking, nearly pouting as she re-curled Sora's hair.

At first Sora thought she was being rhetorical, the tone certainly seemed it, but then another girl by the name of Ha Neul answered.

"I don't, to be honest. I mean, didn't he say the same words to all of us?"

"Well wouldn't that confirm his feelings, if anything?" asked the most innocent looking girl she had ever seen, Kim Ji Hee. her eyes wide open.

"Not if it sounds like a script it doesn't," Ha Neul retaliated, rolling her eyes.

"What did he say?" Sora asked in a small voice, nearly afraid to listen to the answer.

The girls looked down at her as if they had nearly forgotten she was there. It was ironic, considering they were dolling her up like this. She decided to just stay silent and listen, watching the girls through the mirror in front of her.

"Just that, what was it? "We met at a convenience store. It was really romantic. She has the prettiest hair," or some other bullshit." Ha Neul answered.

"Hey those are the exact words he used with me!" the third girl exclaimed, moving on to a new hair strand. "What's romantic about meeting in a convenience store anyway? Are they trying to seem down-to-earth or something?"

Taehyung is down to Earth... in his own way.

"Don't you guys think he's gotten... I don't know... calmer?"

'Calmer'? CALMER?! My Tae...! No, no, no. Kim Taehyung is not calm, never! He's an alien, always has been! He's not... He can't... Something's not right.

"Yeah, the other day he let me do his makeup without even trying to get me to dress him up as the Joker. He always asks me to make him into the Joker."

"I don't know..." Ha Neul hummed. "I mean maybe he actually does like her. And her hair is pretty."

Sora had tuned out already, her thoughts going wild, the word 'calmer' bouncing inside her head like a thousand rubber balls. Part of her brain was trying to tell the other side that this worrying about Taehyung was probably just jealousy, paranoia, hysteria. The other half screamed at it to shut up, probably proving its point.

A head suddenly popped out from behind a row of clothes, tiara askew.

"Has anyone got an idea of what I could wear?" Jin asked innocently, making them all realise that, yes, he was topless and yes, he was definitely a man.

Suddenly the princess outfit seemed way out of place. The girls hurried to help him into an aviators suit, gushing as their forgotten project stood up, looking like a fierce Moana all over again. She left the room without anyone noticing, reminding herself to thank the girls when they were done.

She was so very nearly done with the evening and wanted nothing more than to leave, but there was one thing she had to do first, and she headed towards the elevators.

Seoul looked beautiful by night at the top of the Lotte World Hotel. The floor was wooden decking, which made a nice change from marble, and there were comfortable chairs arranged around low coffee tables. For the first time since arriving, putting aside her adventure in the canoe, Sora felt welcome. The uneasiness that had plagued her lifted for a moment as she gazed over the skyline.

Someone tapped her on the shoulder. She turned to see Namjoon smiling down at her, dimples brightening her evening.

"What are you doing up here?" he asked kindly.

"I don't really know," she answered with a sigh and a smile. "Just trying to understand... things, I guess."

            "Ah... Taehyung?"

He leant against the railing and she followed his lead. There was silence for a moment before she spoke up.

"If it's because of management that he's dating that... thing, then isn't he going along with the charade a little too much?"

"Yeah... I'm going to have to talk to him about public displays of affection."

He sighed, his dimples gone, and Sora could see the leader in him and the toll his position was taking on him. She put a hand on his shoulder.

"You put too much pressure on yourself, Namjoonie," and he raised an eyebrow at this. "You don't have to fix every little problem yourself you know, you've got a whole team behind you who would be happy to help."

Namjoon blinked, then a grin spread across his face.

            "Thanks Sora-ya, you're very thoughtful."

Sora smiled, hoping he couldn't tell it was fake. 'Thoughtful'; was that what she was? Was that what her decision was? She had come here to delay the inevitable, but now that she had cleared her thoughts, it was time to find Taehyung and end it all.
