Try not to invite your ex to your wedding

Chapter 1

-Holly-

"Guys, I don't know what to do!" Becca whine. Penelope and Angie sat beside her while patting her back trying to calm her down.

"You could always break up with Tyler and stay with Andrew." I said. Penelope,Angie and Becca glare at me and I put both my hands up in mock defence and mouth 'what?'. The three of them stop glaring and go back to normal.

"Tyler is sweet,handsome,rich and such a gentleman," Becca said with eyes starting to almost shape like heart emojis.

"Then break up with Andrew then." I said and shrug. "But Andrew proposed to me last night and I said yes!" Becca squeal, pulling her left hand out from under the blanket. Everyone in the room except me rush to her. I stand there in shock as everyone congratulate her. If you didn't know, Andrew was my first love and my ex so it's pretty hard to move with the new info given by Becca.

"Holly, you okay?"

"What?" I snap out of my thoughts and look at Evelyn. "Oh, yeah! I'm fine." I clear my throat and look at Becca. "Congratulations Becca. I'll be going now." I said with no enthusiasm in my voice and pick up my bag from the floor.

"Thanks holly,bye." Becca wave and a chorus of 'byes' were said as I exit Becca's bedroom. I walk fast towards the front door and walk out of her house. "Holly wait!" I stop and turn to see Becca standing by the door. "What?" I ask. She slowly walk towards me and stop two steps away from me. "I was wondering if I should have ask you this question before when I first started dating Andrew but I didn't. But since Andrew proposed and all, I decided to ask."

"What's the question?" I ask.

"Are you really Andrew's ex?" She look at me straight in the eyes. I breathe out a sigh and answered. "Yes."

"Oh boy, I wish you would lie and say no."

"What do you mean?"

"Let's make this short. You're not invited to the wedding."

"What?! Just because I dated Andrew?" I ask in disbelief.

"Yes."

"You're unbelievable." I shake my head. "I'm sorry but it's weird to have an ex there. I hope you understand." She smile.

I scoff. "I understand perfectly." I spat. "Okay then,great! Bye!" She said without feeling bad and turn around to leave. I ball my fists and let out a sigh.

"Wait! Becca!" I call out. "Yes?" She looks at me.

"I just wanted to tell you something."

"What is it?"

"You're a bitch and I hope your wedding sucks!" I smile and give her the middle finger. I leave her scowling and skip home.

Third persons P.O.V
3 hours later

"Guys,I have a weird feeling." Evelyn break the silence in the car. "Now?" Sam asks and drive a bit faster. "Weird how?" Scarlett joins in the conversation.

The three of them left Becca's house because it felt weird to not have their best friend by their side. Evelyn,Sam,Scarlett and Holly were best friends since kindergarten.

"I don't know. Its just- I feel weird. Can't explain it." Evelyn shake her head. Sam parks the car on the side of their apartment building and they got out after. Evelyn rush to the apartment. Sam and Scarlett did the same and rush up to their apartment.

"Holly?" Evelyn call out when she step into their apartment.

Nothing. Not a single sound. No response.

"Holly?!" Evelyn call again but in a more panic tone. "Eve, calm down. Maybe she's sleeping." Sam said. "What if she's not?" Evelyn said and walk to Holly's room. She opens the door and look around. It seem normal.

"Where is she?" Scarlett wonders aloud. The three of them step in and look around. "Guys, the reason I have a weird feeling was because Andrew is Holly's first love. Finding out that he's going to get married to one of her good friends is probably crushing her." Evelyn spoke out and look at the pictures that were hung on a string taped to the wall.

"Where do you think she went?" Sam sits on her bed. "She left Becca's house few hours ago."

"She's probably walking around somewhere." Scarlett shrug. "This room, it seems normal but yet it seems some things are missing." Evelyn said. Sam nods and look at Holly's closet. Sam stands up and hold the door handle to Holly's closet.

"Sam, what are you doing?"

"I feel like there's something with this closet. I'm scared if I open this, it'll be empty." Sam said.

"Nah, I'm sure it wouldn't be empty." Scarlett assures. "Okay, here goes nothing." Sam said and opens up her closet. The three of them stand there in shock. Holly's once full of clothes closet is gone. Half of the closet is gone.

"Shit." Evelyn said and pull out her phone. She dials Holly's number, hoping for Holly to answer but instead she went to voicemail. Suddenly Sam and Scarlett rush out of her room. "Where are you guys going?"

"Kitchen." They reply. Evelyn follows. "Are you guys seriously eating right now? Our best friend is somewhere and she's hurt."

"No. There was a sticky note in her closet. It said her note of explanation is in one of the kitchen cabinets." Sam explain to Evelyn. "Found it." Scarlett shout.

The three of them read the note together.
