HarryA few days went by since we went to the park. I'm starting to get better at controlling myself around blood. Louis says this newborn faze should be over soon. I was currently playing a game on my phone since Louis allowed me to download one. Speaking of Louis I don't know exactly what he is doing. He's been on his laptop at the dining table all morning but he hasn't spoken to me. I doubt he's ignoring me, he's probably working or something. Liam said he works from home a lot of the time.
Louis got a phone call, and I turned my attention to him. I couldn't hear what the other person was saying though, since I was on the other side of the room on the couch. "Hello? Yeah... I got the email.....Yes...... What do you mean I have to go there?........Liam I can't......No.....Well I can't just leave him here........I..... Okay fine.....I'll figure it out, be there soon....Bye."
Louis hung up the phone and shut his laptop. He looked at me, noticing my concerned look. "Will you come here Harry?" he asked. I got up and walked over to him. He addressed me to sit down, so I did. I kinda got nervous he was gonna say something bad, but instead it was about work. "So, there was an emergency at work, and they need me to go in. I don't wanna just leave you," he said. "I can go with you," I said. He shook his head, "no, it could be dangerous. I don't want you to see what I do."
"You said you were a secret agent. You just find people who need to be found, and arrest them. That isn't bad."
"Right, well it's more than just that. I really don't wanna-"
"Louis i'll be fine. I'm a vampire, they can't hurt me."
He still seemed nervous about the whole situation. He was acting like he wasn't telling me something. "I- Okay. I'll take you, but you have to do exactly what I say," he said. I nodded. He got up and told me to follow him. I thought we were going to walk to the door, but instead I followed him down the hallway. He opened the hall closet. "This is our secret okay?" he said. I nodded. Not sure what he was talking about though. He moved a few things in the closet around and a small button appeared. He pressed it and a secret passage opened from the back of the closet. "What the-"
"Cmon, follow me," he said. I followed him through the small opening. It led into a small room the appeared to be an office. There was a desk that had a pile of papers on it, another desk against the wall with a giant computer on it, some filing cabinets, and a few bulletin boards hanging on the wall. I stand corrected, this wasn't a normal office, it was like it belonged to a detective. On one of the bulletin boards there was faces of people, I assume were suspects. There was also a large storage box in the corner that appeared to be locked. Louis grabbed some paperwork out and began looking through it.
"I'm after this guy named Gus Hansel. He's been a criminal for 6 years, and has killed 13 people," Louis said. He actually captures real live criminals. I kinda thought he meant he finds people who are lost, not criminals. I didn't realize Louis was such a bad ass. "You'll be safe with me," he said, "just do as I say. I got the paperwork so we can go now."
We went down to Louis' car and got in. He drove out of town a little ways to a warehouse. He got out of the car, and I did the same. "This is headquarters," he said, "stay by me." We walked inside, which was much nicer than the outside. People were running around trying to get work done, while Louis and I just walked passed them to the elevator. Funny, there was quite a few people here but I couldn't smell any blood.
"Good morning, Louis. Who's this?" a receptionist asked. "He's an associate. We need to speak to Paul," he responded. She nodded, and gave us each a clearing pass. I followed Louis to an office down the hall. He didn't bother knocking, he just opened the door and walked in, with me right behind him. To my surprise Liam was inside, along with another man.
