You silently stared at the clock on your desk with boredom clearly written all over your face, it was 12:30am and there was still no sign of Vincent and to make things worse you couldn't check the cameras for him either since during Vincent's fit of anger the previous night he had manged to break the monitor. You stood up with a sigh and decided that if he wasn't going to come to you, you were going to go find him. As you walked through the halls you suddenly realised just how creepy this place was at night but then again it was a horror attraction it was meant to scare you and it was certainly doing it's job right.
You tried to figure out where you were going as you rounded corner only to stop dead in your tracks, stood before you was the same familiar person you saw in Cam 8 yesterday "M-Marionette? Is that really you?" you stuttered in surprise and when only reply you received was a silent glare something told you this Marionette was very different from the one you knew a year ago. Suddenly a cold voice cut through the silence as he finally began to speak "leave" it was such a simple word but it left you bewildered "wait what?" he growled angrily clearly not impressed with your answer "it's simple enough (y/n), when this night is over I want you to quit your job, leave and never come back again, do I make myself clear?" "crystal" "good" he said as he turned to leave but before he could you spoke up again "but I'm not going to do it".
"WHAT!" he shouted as he whirled around his eyes blazing with anger "I'm not leaving Marion-" you had tried to remain calm but that feeling was gone now as Marionette pinned you against the wall his tight grip on your throat stopping your words in their tracks as he glared at you "you need to disappear (y/n) and if you won't leave wilfully I'll just have to kill you instead" his words were cold and cruel as his grip slowly tightened around your throat depriving you of the oxygen you so desperately needed to survive, your panic only rising as the world around you started to fade to black.
"(Y/N)!" a voice screamed down the hall followed by quick, heavy footsteps coming towards you then suddenly Marionette's grip was ripped away from your throat as you sunk to the floor sucking in as much precious air as your lungs could take. Slowly your breathing returned to normal and the black faded from your vision as you felt someone pick you up bridal style you looked up to find you were being carried by Springtrap or as you knew him "Vincent?" you mumbled weakly your throat sore, he looked down at you "shh don't speak little finch, just rest for me" he spoke softly as if trying to comfort you.
Vincent continued to walk silently through the halls with you in his arms reaching his destination just as the 6am alarm sounded, he carefully put you back on your feet and made sure you were ok then you both said your goodbyes as he watched you leave. Once you were gone Vincent turned to walk away and growled as he spotted Marionette who had been stood in one of the building many halls watching you both. Marionette simply chuckled darkly as he disappeared into the shadows his voice echoing behind him "You can't protect her forever, you monster".
