Kaiden's P.O.V.

"Thank you Ms. Kim" I smiled to my home nurse as she gave me my meds. She has helped me whenever I am allowed to go home from the hospital, which was now.

I got out of the hospital about 2 weeks ago and I was feeling better already. My cancer is not completely gone, but it's small and I couldn't be happier.

After having Cancer since I was 13, and I am now 18, I still get a rush every time I get to come home. The hospital is nothing compared to this amazing place.

After Ms. Kim Walked out, I quickly took my pills and started to get dressed because I had to go to physical therapy to strengthen my body. Chemotherapy and radiation really wear you out and your muscles weaken.

I walked to my closet and picked out my leggings, tennis shoes, and a plain purple workout shirt. After I put my clothes on, I applied a little bit of mascara and some chap stick before adding my favorite light purple scarf to cover my bald head.

My hair has been gone for 5 years and I still couldn't get used to it. I mean I AM a girl. I used to style my hair and mess with it all the time growing up, and I couldn't do that now. It did suck of course, but I have learned to embrace it, show people I am a survivor and can win this battle with cancer.

I grabbed my car keys from the hook next to my mirror as I walked to the kitchen where my mom was.

"Mom I'm going to head to therapy," I said has I gave her a quick hug and a kiss on the cheek.

"Okay honey I am going to work in a half hour, so I won't be home when you get back. If you make plans later text me." She spoke back.

"k, I will." I said and smiled to her as I walked out the door.

When I walked into the building, I made my way to the receptionist, Mrs. Twist.

"Hey Kaiden. Back again huh?" Anne said and smiled as I walked up to the front desk where she was sitting.

"Yep. I'm ready for the workout." I laughed as I flexed my arm.

"I can tell." she laughed.

"So, how have you been? It's been a few weeks since I've seen you." I asked politely and smiled at her.

"I'm doing great actually!" she smiled excitedly. "I dont know if you knew, but I have a 20 year old son named Harry."

"No I didn't thats great. Maybe I could meet him. If he is your son, he must be as lovely as you." I smiled as I complimented her.

She chuckled. "He can 'sometimes' be lovely I guess, if he tried. He's going through a rough time right now. I just remarried and moved from England to work here about a year ago. He was upset enough that I got a divorce with his father, but now that I remarried, he has just lost his respect for me and most people, I feel." She sighed while rubbing her temples. Her cheery mood was easily gone as she talked about the situation with Harry.

I feel bad for her. She is one of the sweetest women I have ever met. She was so welcoming and nice to me when she started working here. Maybe I should knock some niceness into this son of her. I silently laughed at my stupid remark. I dont even know her son.

"It's okay one day he will aprectate you. I know it." I tried to reassure her.

"Thanks Kaiden!" She smiled. "But the reason I even mentioned him was because he is arriving here soon! I finally convinced him to switch Universities and move in with me. I was suprised he agreed so easily but..." she trailed off.

"That's so great Anne. Everything will turn out." I spoke and smiled at her now happy expression again.

"Okay Kaiden, thanks. You should probably go, your already 5 minutes late to your appointment." she laughed as she looked at the clock.

I smiled and walked away."I'm going to meet this son of yours Anne!" I called back as she laughed.

I made my way to my trainer, Jacob. He is 25 and has been my physical therapy doctor ever since I got cancer when I was thirteen.

"Hey Kaiden. How have you been kid?" He smiled a toothy grin when he saw me.

"Im fabulous!" I laughed. "What about you Jake?"

"Im fabuous girl!" He squealed in a girly voice obvioulsy mocking me.

I laughed loudly at him and rolled my eyes.

We spent the next fourty-five minutes working on arm and leg excercises. They don't let me go to the gym because I would work out like hardcore. I can't tire out my body like that, so I come here just to strengthen my muscles.

I finished the therapy and said goodbye to everyone.

As I made my way to my car, I felt the car door next to me slam into my shoulder. I mummbled an 'ow' as I rubbed my arm lightly and looked at the stranger who had hurt me.

Wow.

There was a very tall boy with curly hair standing there. He had tattoos all over his arms and all black clothes to cover him. I couldn't help but notice the black lip ring on his bottom lip.

He was incredibly attractive.

My thoughts were cleared as he quietly muttered sorry.

I looked at him and smiled. "Oh don't worry. It's fine. I'm Kaiden by the way."

"I'm Harry." He half smiled down at me.

My mouth opened in shock. That's Anne's son that she was talking about. I could definetly tell by the accent now that I heard him fully speak to me.

Wow. I can tell how she thought he was a little troubled. He has that rebel without a cause look to him.

He was staring at me as I had my mouth wide open. I quickly closed my mouth and spoke up. "Sorry, its just, your mom was just talking about you to me earlier. I went in for my Physical Therapy and she was just so excited about you moving here with her."

Harry rolled his eyes and huffed a chuckle. "Excited. I doubt it. She is the one who left me in the first place." He suddenly got really angry at the mention of his mother.

"That's not tru--" I was cut off by his angry words.

"I dont need your imput. Save it. I don't even know you, we just met."

I sighed. Breath Kaiden. Don't get mad. He doesnt see it. Anne did tell me about his attitude.

I plastered a fake smile and apologized. "You're right. I dont know you, so I can't help you. I'm sorry"

He gave me a confuzed look, obviously wondering why I apologized.

"Fine." He muttered. "Sorry about your shoulder."

"Dont sweat it. Maybe I will see you around?" I smiled.

"I dont know." Harry replied annoyed. He's not the nicest but...

"Okay I better get going." I said as I started to get into my car.

He just stalked off towards the entrance without saying goodbye.

As I drove home, all I could think about was Harry. Having known what Anne told me about his past with the divorce and remarrying, I couldn't help but feel bad for him.

I've met people like him before. The ones who have went through something horrible that changed them.

Harry was now the dark and rebellious boy who didn't care who's feelings he hurt.

I don't even know him, but why do I feel the need to help him....
