Sophie's POV

The next few days were unremarkable, but by no means un-extraordinary. Ashton was, as ever, loving and affectionate, even with his mother and siblings around. And I was happy.

But, I could not stop my mind from wandering to a pair of blue eyes, pink lips, and a blond quiff. Every time Ashton's fingers trailed down my thigh, I was reminded of Luke. Every time Ashton leaned in to kiss me, I was reminded of Luke. Honestly, Luke was beginning to drive me crazy.

It didn't help that the four of them, including Ashton, had gone for a "lads night out" tonight, and while I didn't mind staying at home, the numerous drunk texts, and accidental snapchats I had received, were making it harder and harder to push Luke to the back of my mind.

I was torn. On the one hand there was Ashton; sweet and loving and loyal. He was always going out of his way to make sure I was happy, and had been doing this from the moment he sat next to me in the airport, almost two weeks ago.

Ashton was safe, and he felt like home. But, Luke was my little secret, and the thought of him was driving me crazy.

It had only been two weeks. But, in two weeks, I'd managed to fall for two different boys. Who just happened to be best friends.

It was now 2am, and Ashton's house was quiet. His mum and siblings, had gone to bed three hours ago, leaving me alone on the couch, with the television for company. Ashton had told me not to wait up, but I knew I wouldn't be able to sleep without knowing he was home safely. Plus, I was now staying in his room, so I'd be awake when he came home regardless of whether I wanted to be or not.

As I flicked through the channels, my eyes stinging slightly from the lack of sleep, I heard a key in the lock, followed by loud swearing. I giggled to myself as a muffled "who the fuck even created locks?!" came through the, still closed, front door. I decided to put Ashton out of his misery and opened the door for him.

He looked up at me, with sleepy eyes and a vacant expression, swaying slightly.

"Sophie!"He shouted.

I shushed him loudly, before pulling him inside, and gently closing the door.

"Why are you shushing me?" Ashton slurred, in an audible whisper.

"Because" I started, leading Ashton to the kitchen, where I filled a glass full of water, and handed it to him, before perching on the counter as he looked up at me. "It's 2am, and everybody's asleep." I finished, swinging my legs as I watched Ashton down the glass of water in two gulps.

"Oh." He chuckled, rubbing his head. "I'm quite drunk." He stated.

"I can see that." I nodded.

"I missed you." He said, hiccuping slightly.

"You are drunk." I laughed, shaking my head at Ashton, who was now sitting at the small table in the corner of his kitchen.

"Not that drunk. I missed you." He said again, nodding his head vigorously.

"Okay, well, I missed you too, Ashton." I said, sliding off the counter and walking over to where Ashton was holding out his glass, asking for another drink. I refilled his glass, and gave it back to him.

He smiled, gratefully.

"You're very pretty." Ashton said, looking up at me with wide eyes.

"Thank you." I blushed.

I didn't really know exactly how drunk Ashton was, so I didn't want to take everything he was saying too seriously. Just in case he didn't remember any of it in the morning.
