CHAPTER 28
TRIS' POV:
I wait, and wait for a VERY long time. Can't Tobias just come in already?
I look at the clock. It's 6 a.m. Ugh! A whole hour until I can see him?!?
I sit there, bored out of my mind, just staring at the ceiling.
My eyelids get heavy, and I try to stay awake, but fail.
DREAM:
I see Tobias strapped in a metal chair, similar to the one I sat in for the aptitude test.
I'm confused.
"Tobias!" I yell. I try walking over to him, but hit my head on something. What? I don't see anything. I put my hand out, and it hits something cold, smooth, and clear. Glass.
Tobias looks at me, with a fearful look in his beautiful blue eyes.
"Tris." He whispers.
Marcus comes into view. Why is he here?
"This is for your own good Tobias." He sneers.
No.
"Marcus, NO!" I yell, scared. I pound on the glass, but it won't crack. This isn't a simulation.
I feel something wet on my feet, and look down. Water is rising up, appearing out of nowhere.
I scream, feeling a stinging pain on my shins. Fire.
How? I'm in a tank full of water, and on fire at the same time?!? I can't escape. I'm trapped.
The glass tank widens, and I hear a voice.
"Shoot them."
What?
My family appears in front of me. They're alive!
"Mom, Dad, Caleb!" I yell.
"Shoot us Beatrice, we want you to live. It's alright. We understand." My mother says lovingly. Dad and Caleb nod.
"No!" I scream.
*CRACK*
"TRIS!" I spin around, and Marcus is beating Tobias.
*SNAP*
"TRIS HELP ME!!!" Screams Tobias.
I pound and pound on the glass , trying to get to him.
The water is at my thighs now. The fire still burns. The voice repeats, "Shoot them." Over, and over again.
I feel a sharp pain on my shoulder. A crow. 7 or 8 appear and descend on me. Snipping at my flesh, while I'm being, burned, drowned, and pressured to shoot my family. I can't take this!
"TRIS! PLEASE HELP! HELP!" Tobias cries. I sob, and go under water. When I come back up, I notice that the water has come to the middle of my stomach.
*BANG BANG BANG*
What?
I look up, and about 10 faceless men are pounding on the glass. I shrink back, afraid.
Suddenly they pour in, creeping up on me.
"STOP!" I yell. "STOP PLEASE!"
All at the same time, I am drowning, being burned, pecked apart by crows, and being kidnapped by scary, faceless men.
Two voices yell at me, and I can't take it. All of this is too much.
"SHOOT THEM, SHOOT THEM, SHOOT THEM!"
"TRIS! HELP! PLEASE!"
I sob harder. The pain is worse than any I've ever experienced, even worse than being beaten by Marcus.
But my body won't black out. It won't give up. It won't let go.
My lungs burn from lack if oxygen. I'm really drowning now. I scream, and scream, but nothing happens.
The pain goes on, and on, and on.
Someone help me. Please.
END OF DREAM

A/N: Hi! Sorry for the scary, and somewhat depressing chapter. I'm good at writing these kind of things. (I think)
IMPORTANT:
FYI: The reason Tobias didn't freak out about what was happening to Tris in the dream, is because he could only see her, not what was happening to her.Well, thanks for reading! Y'all are THE BEST!
Be brave. <4
P.S. Can't update tomorrow. I am really busy. Sorry!
