{Slight feels and trigger warning }
Dark's POV
I lay my head on the desk, sighing as I awaited a call from Die, I don't know what he wants me for, but he said it was important.
I look over at a frame on my desk, it was on Anti's birthday the day we took it, it was of everyone that day. It still surprised me how we managed to fit all of us in one picture.
My eyes dance across the picture, I smile seeing all my dear staff... until my eyes stop on Alexis.... I frown slightly, I still haven't forgotten that little....talk I must have with her , she shouldn't have done that to Anti, he was so humiliated the poor boy.
I jump in surprise as the Skype calling noise starts, I sit up, stretching my back. I run my hand through my slightly messy hair and then press the button to accept the call
Die's face pops up on my computer screen, he had his partner Darzia sitting on the arm rest on his chair
"I'll see you in a bit honey, I just got a make a few more calls" Die says to her, taking her hand and kissing the back of it gently. She gives him a smile , kissing his cheek before going off screen and walking somewhere else
"It's good to see you Dark , I understand if your annoyed at me for keeping you waiting, but I had to call a lot of people" I nodded , showing I understood what he meant, he was a very busy man after all.
"I called to talk about the incident... I know you probably don't wanna be reminded of it, but I just want to make something clear" I sighed, knowing somehow this was gonna come up in our talk
"It wasn't your fault that woman died , she couldn't be helped no matter what , you did your very best to try , and you did an amazing job of that alone, you managed to help many others as well"
The scenario replayed in my head, like a flashback
The team had to go out and save some poor people out of a building that was about about to crumble and fall at any time.
I was on the top floor, I had managed to get everyone from the top floor off except one woman, when I asked the people about her, they said she was mentally unstable.
"Ma'am please, this building is collapsing, we can bring you to safely " I said calmly to her, reaching out my hand to her. She screams and backs away
"NOO! I don't need help!" She screamed, the floor from under her feet cracking
"Please just take my ha-" before I could even finish, the ceiling caved in on her, sending her, and the floor below her, from the top floor, to the very bottom.
I watched in horror as she fell , being crushed by the heavy floors , her screams replaced with the horrible sound of crushed bones....
"Dark!" Die's shout brought me back to reality
"Sorry D-Die " I say, shaking the memory away
"Please keep my words in mind, you did great out there " I nodded, smiling appreciatively at him, before we ended the call
