About twenty-five thousand years ago a man who became known as Loki showed up to prehistoric Scandinavia, tricking people that they were shifters, and to his surprise ten years after he showed up, he had a son who could shift into a giant wolf. This boy became known as Fenrir, the first were creature. For the next ten-thousand years, people who left Scandinavia or heard the legend of the werewolf began seeing other were creatures.

After Fenrir, the next were was the Nemean Lion, whose name was Heracles, and Lycaon, the actual first werewolf, as Fenrir was of Dire wolf bloodline, meaning that he became full wolf, whereas Lycaon became humanoid.
