"You're late."

That's what she always says to me when I walk through the door. She would never ask me how my day was or whatever. I wonder what my father saw in this woman.

"Yes, and am sorry Ellean but things happen." Ellean is my fathers fiancée. My parents have not being together for two years now and I don't mind it. I know what you're thinking, "Someone cheated on the other" but that's not the case here. My parents slowly realised that their love for each other wasn't as strong as it was before. They both took it very well and I'm proud to be their daughter.

Given the fact that I was only fifteen at that time, I'm surprised that I wasn't as upset as I thought I would be. Now I'm seventeen and living with my dad and his fiancée, I couldn't be any happier.

Making my way towards my room sluggishly, I heard a scoff coming from Ellean and rolled my eyes in response. I've never had a problem with her but sometimes, she does get on my nerves. Entering my ruby red themed with black coloured room, I walked towards my bed and laid on it, with my arms out like I was a star fish.

I never properly introduced myself did I?

Right sorry, *little coughs before tapping the imaginary microphone* Hi, my name is Paula. Paula McKenzie and I'm seventeen years old. My birthday is on the sixth of September, which means I'm a Virgo. I am from West Africa, born and raised but I came to the UK when I was only ten, so technically I wasn't fully raised there. I've got no siblings, boo! But I've got step-siblings so that counts. I am als-

"Who are you talking to?"

Jumping out of my skin, I turned to the source of the voice and found that it was none other than Ellean who was watching me with amusement in her eyes. "No one Ellean." I coughed as I glared at her. She just laughed and walked away leaving my door open. When the hell did she get in? And why didn't she close the door?! Absolutely no manners.

Now, she's making me do exercise when I'm fine already. With a huff, I slammed my bedroom door shut and went to lay on my queen sized bed. Yawning tiredly, I decided to call it a night without even eating. Yes, I know. It's bad. Like world ending bad!

"The King is back! Your lives just got better!

With a groan, I turned over in bed and pulled the duvet up towards my shoulders and wrapped myself in a human sized cocoon. A few seconds into my pre-sleep session, my crazy father crept in the room and began to poke my head continuously. "Come on Mckie, come say hello." My childlike father whined. How old is this man? Forty-three!

"Dad I'm sleeping please tomorrow dad?" I begged tiredly not having any energy to say anything else. With a sigh, my father left the room sadly. Before he left, I opened my eyes and saw him with sloughed shoulders as he dragged his feet out the room. A smile crept onto my face as he walked out and closed my room door. I could hear him moaning to Ellen about me not talking to him before I slept since he wanted to talk to me about my day. Oh how I loved my dad.

The next morning came quickly as the night left the sky.

With a yawn, I kicked back the duvet from off my feet and walked towards the bathroom to business. After my daily shower and clean routine, I got dressed in a pair of dark jeggings and a black body-con long sleeve top. To match my outfit, I just took out my black Nike Air max. Looking at my lion mane of her hair, I decided to use a hair drier to help me sort it out briefly before I tied it up with a headband.

Once I was finished, I made my way downstairs towards the kitchen for something to eat. Looking through the fridge, I check to see if there was any orange juice left. Finding none in the fridge, I groaned angrily and decided that instead, I would drink some apple juice. Now don't get me wrong or something, apple juice is great but, orange juice is way better!

It's just too good.

Ellen's and dad had already left for work which meant that I would be walking to school. Yay! Not.

I don't like walking. I don't like taking the bus. I don't like seeing some people's faces because I'll probably end up shouting at someone since they stare. Don't you just hate it that people stare at you for no reason? It's creepy and scary  when people stare at you.

With a sigh, I grabbed my backpack and walked to school with my earphones plunged in  as Amnesia was blasting through them.

This is going to be another long day....
