A/N: The titles don't really mean anything, it's just words I like.
I awoke to the sound of my alarm blaring in my ears. This can't be happening. I thought back to yesterday's events, and silently scolded myself. Of couse he found his soul mate first. Its not like I've been waiting 4 years.
I rolled lazily out of bed and walked over to the shower. I hopped in and squealed at the burning water. Fuck! I thought. The dial had been turned to the hottest setting. I quickly turned it down to my preferred heat and washed my hair and body.
During breakfast Michael gave me a sorry look, clearly upset at my actions yesterday. I tried to ignore it, but his eyes pierced through me like a dagger.
"What is it," I said bluntly
"I know you're annoyed that I'm going to start ageing soon." Michael whispered
"Look I'm sorry. Its just you've only had to wait a year before you could start ageing and I've been trapped for four years in my current state."
Michael looked hurt. I suddenly felt shame for my words. It's not his fault. Michael opened his mouth to say something, but I cut him off,
"Michael. We both know it's not your fault. I'm just annoyed that I have to watch everyone grow out of looking 18 while I'm still stuck looking for the right person."
And with that, neither of us uttered another word. I shoved my cereal down my throat and headed out for a walk to clear my head.
