Sometimes I wish life was different. It was the same routine everyday with little or no change. For some reason, most people don't have a problem with reliving the same day over and over again, but me? I'm waiting for a change in life, something to look forward to when I wake up. Little did I know, the thing that would change my life wasn't so distant.
* Two years later
...I was so excited! Finally, something new in my life! I'm standing in front of my new flat in London, ready to start a new life. New uni, new country, new life. I fumbled with my keys for a minute before I could finally stop being clumsy and open the door. When I got in, I stopped in the middle of the living room for a moment to take it in. The flat was fairly large compared to the other options I researched which were about as big as a little girls' shoe. I was thinking about how to finally be in my flat when my trail of thought was cut short by the sound of enthusiastic screaming and two other girls about my age came bursting through the door.
My roommates.
"Hi! you must be Celica Bloodsworth, I'm Elizabeth Pettway, but you can call me Eli. By the way, the person standing next to me is Maecy Laper and she may seem really quiet, but trust me, once she gets to know you, you'll see I'm considered the quiet one. So have you decided which room you want be in? All the rooms are the same size, all that's different is how close they are to the door, so take your pick!", Eli bubbled. Considering how long that sentence was, I wouldn't be surprised if she was lying about being the quiet one.
I took the center room, thinking it's a good distance between both rooms next to me. They pretty much left me alone after choosing my room.
It was close to dinner time and I hadn't had a lot of interruptions, all that I could hear was when Maecy turned on the telly. I was starting to think I should order something when I heard Maecy shout, "Dinners ready! Today's dinner is Mac and cheese with biscuits on the side!"
Yay! Those are some of my favorite things to eat and really, I was glad to be eating anything at all because the food from my flight from Florida wasn't exactly "5 star" and really, I thought that the food was so bad, they might as well have gotten them from a dumpster, so tonight's dinner was a huge step up from what I had the rest of the day.
At the dinner table, I think that was the first real conversation we ever had. Eli stampeded towards the dinner table and bounced onto her chair. Me, being the person I am, ran to the table as Maecy was already sitting down. Most of the talking was Maecy talking about how much she loves Sherlock (wow, she really is the blabber mouth) but sometimes she listened to one of us. Dinner usually lasted about an hour since none of us could keep our mouths shut, but nothing interesting really happened in dinner. Just talking and eating. My first day in London didn't last long since it was a 12 hour flight, I got here at 6:30, and I was tired out of my mind. So all I did was shower and sleep.
