The flowing of blood back into Miles' arm broke him from his silent scowl as Phoenix moved from Miles' arm.

"Miles", Phoenix mumbled in a husky voice, "stop scowling like that, you'll break your face".

Miles scowled even harder at Phoenix for that one, but the grin stretching across his best friend's face reduced Miles' stony exterior to dust.

"You alright?" he inquired with a small smile playing on his lips.

"Mmm, just a little cold", replied Phoenix, making a futile attempt to reach for another blanket.

"Ah-maybe another layer isn't the best thing for you right now...you are sweating enough already...maybe some natural heat?"

Miles wondered where he was going with this - anyhow, he felt comfortable he knew what he was doing - on some level. He tried his best to ignore the nipping worry there wasn't a proper backed up, proofread explanation.

"Natural heat..?" Phoenix looked utterly perplexed and was beginning to fade again.

"Here..." Miles sighed contentedly as he almost diplomatically ushered Phoenix to the other side of the bed, slipped off his own shoes and pushed back the duvet, climbing into bed with Phoenix.

"M-Miles...are you sure you're okay?"

It was Phoenix's turn to look concerned as he attempted to assemble his eyebrows in a frown.

"Yes Phoenix everything is just fine, I was talking about body heat, you see?"

Phoenix's eyes widened and his pale cheeks adopted a rufescent glow. He shook his head as if this was the Miles, Phoenix should be used to and propped himself up with a few pillows.

He paused.

Taking a deep breath in, he agreed with his favoured initiative just this once and turned to Phoenix, opening his arms out for Phoenix to rest his head on his chest.

"Hurry up Wright, I haven't got all night."

But as Phoenix snuggled up to Miles, letting out a satisfied sigh, he realised that he did have all night. Miles shot a devious glance at Phoenix's mobile and reached over to turn it off. He smirked and switched off the bedroom light, turning back to cuddle Phoenix against him.
