Simon's POV
It had been two weeks since I'd last seen Jj. All this beef between Jide, Ethan, and Harry had been too much on all of us. He decided he would 'make it easier for us" by leaving. I miss seeing everyday in the house. I never even got the chance to tell him how I felt about him before he left. Yes. I Simon Minter am in love with Olajide Olatunji. I have been for years. Sadly he'll never know. Or so I thought....
I walked downstairs very slowly seeing as how I had to eat at some point today. I've been locking myself in my room all day so I'm not confronted by the other boys in the house. They all know I'm gay. I told them the day after Jj left. Josh is the only one that knows of my feelings for him though. I was too nervous to tell anyone else. Josh always knew what to do in a serious situation so I knew he was the best person to tell.
As I entered the kitchen I was faced with Josh, Vik, Harry, Ethan, and Tobi all talking in hushed whispers. It's been so long since all the Sidemen boys were in the same room together so I was quite surprised to see them. As soon as I walked in all their whispering stopped as they stared at me.
"Hey, Simon!" Vik greeted in his usual happy tone, but something seemed a bit off; like he was hiding something from me.
"Hi Vikky," I said back to him with a smirk on my face. I knew he hated that nickname, but for some reason he let it slide today. "What are you all doing here? Did I miss something for a video or something?"
It could have just been me but I swore I heard Josh whisper, "or something" under his breath. I let it pass as I grabbed my water bottle and started to head back up the stairs, but before I could get any further I heard a deep chuckle come from Josh. I turned around and looked at him quizzically and gave him a look that said, "the fuck is your problem?" He laughed even harder at my confused expression. I felt my face heat up as I turned back around and stormed up the stairs. 'I don't appreciate being laughed at Josh' I said to myself as I slammed the door to my room shut.
I flopped down on my bed and layed there for a while before deciding to move to grab my phone. I decided to scroll through twitter since I haven't been very active these past few days. I looked through my feed to see a tweet from Jj directed towards me. I shot up in bed as I looked at how long ago it was tweeted. Two minutes ago. It read, 'Going to see my boy after not seeing him for a few weeks.' After I got over my shock another tweet from Jj came in. 'Open your door when I knock you twat.' My head shot towards the door as I heard a loud banging noise. I jumped up and sprinted towards my door.There standing in all his glory was my best mate and love of my life.
"Jide?" I whispered as a small tear ran down my cheek.
"I'm here. I promise to never leave you again." He answered back but I could barely hear him as I crashed into his arms. Sobs wracked through my body as I held on as tight as I could to him. I cried as he kissed the tears off my cheeks. He looked down at me in his arms and did something I never would have suspected from my straight best friend. He kissed me. I felt electric shocks flow from my lips to everywhere in my body. We pulled away simultaneously and he leaned down and whispered in my ear, "Simon Minter, will you be my boyfriend?" I responded with the biggest smile on my face, "Of course I will Jide!" He grinned and pulled me into another deep kiss and I heard wolf whistles in the background. We pulled apart to see all of our friends with huge grins on their faces. Then Vik out of nowhere whispered, "I always knew KSimon would be real..." Then he and the rest of the boys ran out of the room. Leaving me with my newfound boyfriend. I couldn't have wished for anything better.
