Sydnee Hilton was never perfect. She had obviously tried, like most girls her age, but gave up quick.

Everyday that she had school, she had to force herself to get up and get dressed. Sydnee skipped most meals, usually eating only a few snacks throughout the day, she kept mostly to herself and almost never slept, save for weekends, when she slept until noon and didn't go to sleep until a few hours past midnight. Sydnee used to get scared of the way she was, but she couldn't go to her parents for help. Her parents hardly qualify as parents. So she kind of just kept to herself for years, and still did. But the next day was Sydnee's first day of high school.

The night before though,Sydnee couldn't sleep because she was scared. Not the regular teen-being-nervous type of scared, but actually scared. She didn't know what it'd be like. She was scared she might get an anxiety attack in class or something. So she was kind of just laying there, waiting for morning to come.

Sydnee was always disregarded as a simple "emo" kid, mostly because she dresses in dark skinny jeans, band shirts, and did her hair a certain way, cutting it to give it a choppy, layered look. Her hair was naturally dark, but she had dyed it jet-black and added some neon orange tips, and her skin was paler than Casper The Friendly Ghost. Sydnee didn't mind what people think of her. She had friends, even if they're somewhat fake. Sydnee wanted a new start in high school, maybe fit in with the Misfits. She'd already been introduced to the group by her friend Brittany, and they'd clicked instantly.

Sydnee wasn't worried about her looks anymore. In 9 months, when it had really started, she had gone from 175 lbs (with nice curves) to 102 lbs (and you could see her ribs). She was no longer overweight, which she loved, but she had to try hard not to become anorexic. It was difficult, though, without having an appetite, she never really had the will to actually eat. She just wanted to sleep all day, but she couldn't always.

Her parents had never been the best, or the worst, but they were definitely closer to worse. They were abusive, but not as worse as others. She had never been told that she was loved, even as a child, a newborn. Instead, she had been verbally, physically and once been sexually abused, her entire life.

But nine months ago, when her dad got extremely drunk while her mother had gone out, and she'd been hiding in her room, her worst fear came to be.

Her dad raped her.

That's what happened when she hit rock bottom.
