Commentando la scena del discorso di Piton in "Harry Potter e i doni della morte"...

Daniel Radcliffe: "Alan is brilliant at that speech!"
(Alan è fantastico quando fa quel discorso!)

David Yates: "There's a speech in the Great Hall. The way Alan say a couple of words like 'equally guilty' and Maggie was behind him and I could see Maggie thinking 'Just get on with it, will you?'. There's a way Alan uses words and the spaces between words which make you hang on every breath and every pause. I think Alan is wonderful in the way he's kind of made Snape the way he is."
(C'è un discorso in Sala Grande. Il modo in cui Alan dice un paio di parole come 'ugualmente colpevole' e Maggie era dietro di lui e la potevo vedere pensare 'Semplicemente dacci un taglio, ok?'. C'è un modo in cui Alan usa le parole e gli spazi che ti fa trattenere il fiato a ogni respiro e ogni pausa. Credo che Alan sia fantastico nell'aver reso Piton simile a com'è lui.)
