"So you got any plans for after this date?" I knew he said 'date' just to annoy me, so all I did was smile at him.

"Yeah! I'm going to go back and watch movies with my boyfriend. Gosh, you should meet him sometime he is a re-"

He cuts me off and then screamed at me, "Why didn't you tell me you had a boyfriend? Do you think this is a fucking game?"

Before this could escalate, I looked him dead in the eye, "Mr.Weekes, I was being sarcastic..." He immediately looks out the window, trying to hide the fact that he was blushing in embarrassment.

"You call me Dallon, that's final," he spat.

"Ok." Was all I could think of at the moment. This was a really bad start to the night.

The rest of the way there it was dead silent in the car. Occasionally, Dallon would look over at me, and give me a weak smile, then turn away again. I hope it stays this way so there will be no flirting or sexual remarks. It would be a miracle if I could just hide in the bathroom for 70% of the time. But I know that won't happen.

"We are here, don't do anything embarrassing and be nice. Some of the older guys might hit on you, but don't worry, I'll steer them away." He winks at me, making me blush.

The driver parks in front of the ginormous house, then gets out and runs around to my side of the door. He opens it, and holds out his hand, I take it as he helps me out of the car. Dallon gets out after me, and takes my arm.

"I'm going to introduce you to a few people. You will treat them with respect 'cause if you don't, they will make a scene out of you. Understand?" I nod my head as we walk into the big house.

~Dallon's P.O.V.~

Tonight's main goal is to show her off, make her feel special. This is part of my plan to make her want to be with me. I just really hope she doesn't screw up, or disrespect anyone here.

Since I'm one of the richest men here, I get to sit at one of the tables up front. There will be a lot of old guys with their 20 year old girlfriends sitting with us. I already know Ella's going to be disgusted by this, I just hope she doesn't point it out.

It isn't time to eat yet, so I go and interact with some of the people on the gold ballroom floor.

Every conversation I had was basically about Ella, who surprisingly taking some of the sexist and sexual remarks very well. Some of them made her clench her fist, or it made her face go completely blank. This must be hard for her, because she has to take all this shit and not do anything to defend her self.

"I'm sorry about all those comments princess," I coo into her ear. Her face turns red, and she rolls her eyes, trying to play it off. It's cute.

"Its fine, and don't call me princess," She says calmly. I knew it was a risk calling her that, but I just wanted to let her know that I'm here for her.

Ella starts talking to some girls about god knows what, when my buddy Brendon finds me.

"Hey Dal!" He shouts, I turn around and see him, happy at least someone i know that is really chill is here.

"Brendon!" I say with open arms. We hug, then exchange some small talk about life.

"Man, I still haven't let you meet my date! Oh and, she's taken a lot of rude comments tonight so try and be nice," I say with excitement to show her off. I find her, and put my hand on her shoulder.

"Hey there is someone of like to meet. He is really nice, I promise." I tell her after she spins around to face me.

"Mk, it was nice talking to you guys!" She waves the three girls in front of her goodbye, as I drag her by the arm over to where Brendon is.

"Brendon, this is Ella!" He turns around, and stops dead in his tracks, with and stares at her with disbeliefe. Ella was doing the same thing, but with more fear in her eyes then I've ever seen. What is happening?

"You guys ok?" I break the awkward silence.

No one says anything back so I wave in both of their faces, snapping them back to reality.

"May I have a moment alone with Ella, Dal? I just want to hear how you two met." He smiles at me, but he seems incredibly pissed off. But why?

~ Brendon's P.O.V.~

When I turned around and saw her, my heart instantly broke. I didn't know anything about this. Why didn't she tell me? I hope this is just some crazy misunderstanding. It has to be. I've never seen him go to her house, and she's never gone near his neighborhood.

I pulled her to the least crowded corner of the room, and saw the fear in her eyes as I opened my mouth.

"What the hell?" Is all I managed to get out.

"Brendon, before this gets blown out of proportion, will you let me explain?" she stares at me, waiting for a response.

"Dallon is my boss, and he wanted me to go to this thing with him. He didn't even get the chance to ask me, so he just sent designers to my house. I had no choice. Then you showed up, and I didn't want to make you hate me so I didn't tell you. I really like you Brendon, and I don't even like Dallon. Please find somehow to forgive me." She rushes through it, obviously nervous. She looks down at her feet, in fear of what I'll might say.

"I'm hurt, but I do forgive you," I say after a few moments. "And I really like you too." Well obviously I think to myself. I've spent three years watching her and falling deeply in love with her. So I'll let her go easy.

She let's go of the breath she was holding, and hugs me.

"I'm really sorry Brendon, " she whispered into my chest.

"It's okay, just don't -" I was interrupted by a yell.

"We are leaving now!" Dallon screams at Ella.

"Dallon, I was only hugging him because-"

"Save it." His face is fuming red.

All she does is nod at Dallon, and gives me a small wave before disappearing into the crowd.
