A number of hours had past.
I picked up my phone and it read

1:06am

"I really have been playing this game for 4 hours straight?!" I quickly turned off my computer and organized the things I had scattered on my bed. I set the chaos emerald replica on my shelf with other Sonic memorabilia. "You really outdone yourself this time Sonic Mania team" I sighed as I flung myself on the bed. " I have school tomorrow-I mean in a few hours so I should rest up."

I plugged in my earbuds and listened to calming uke music in attempts to fall asleep. I closed my eyes and listened to the music. "This song sounds very alike to Emerald Hill Zone " I thought. I imagined myself dashing around a garden of delicate flowers. Sounds of rushing waterfalls, the glistening of the lake behind me, and the palm tree leaves rustling with the summer wind. Up ahead, a spiral type walkway, golden rings wrapped around the entire way, I darted even faster. In the distance, I heard the spin charge of a certain someone. Suddenly, a blue blur went right past me, collecting all the rings on the spiral walkway.

"Better luck next time!"

"Dang it! Sonic! I'll beat you next time" I exclaimed.

*Buzzzzz buzzzzz*

"Huh??!" I darted up from my bed.
"I'm late for school?!" I frantically look for my phone to check the time.

3:12am

"What?? It wasn't my alarm clock? Then what was that vibrating noise?" I did not think much of it, and wrapped myself in my blankets again.

*Buzzzz buzz*

"There it is again!" I stood up in the middle of the room and quietly waited for the sound to come up again. "Okay what the heck is going on-

*Buzz buzz*

"wHat? Its coming from the shelf." I took a look and the vibrating suddenly stopped. "Hmmm" I examined every item on the shelf.

*Buzz*

A quick and sudden vibration was heard. It was the item right in fromt of me. "The chaos emerald replica ?" I picked it up and held it in my palm looking closely at it. "Well I guess this is not where the sound is coming fro-'' Just as I was about to place the emerald back on the shelf, I stood still for a second..The chaos emerald had a small red light emerging from the center. As the light increased, I scratched my head in confusion, suddenly the entire emerald abruptly glowed into a bright fiery red! "GAh!!" I threw the chaos emerald into the air, landing on the bed. The whole room lit up with the red color.

I cautiously approached the glowing emerald.
"Maybe there's an off switch!" My hands slowly came closer and closer to the emerald when it began time to grab it, the emerald violently burst into the air and flew right past me! My eyes followed it as it knocked over various of my belongings and bounced from wall to wall. I was speechless, I was sure that this was not supposed to be happening.

Suddenly, the room grew silent and was no longer red.
You turned around to view the surroundings when suddeny the red emerald sprung out of nowhere and was heading directly towards you! You instantly protected covered your head with your hands.

A distortion sound was heard

and you suddenly vanished, along with the red emerald.
