You Are My Sunshine [poetry]

you are the ocean
your eyes are deep and clear
and your kiss is as exhilarating as swimming with sharks
yet so gentle like a mother dolphin caring for her young
your voice sounds like a walk on the beach
and when i hold your hand it's like finding atlantis
every time you look at me it's like i'm lying in the sand with the breeze in my hair
your lips compare to the feeling of coconut on my tongue
being with you is like short shorts and bikini tops,
bare feet and childish laughter
there are things in the ocean
no one has ever seen
but i love it because it is humble
it's beautifully terrifying
and terrifyingly beautiful

you are the ocean.
