Chapter VI

Moscow Russia
Christmas Eve
Day after Thomas commits suicide

Shawn let out a low growl in his throat. They spent so long here trying to find Tom to bring him to justice and he kills himself like a coward he's worse then the militia spies when it comes to facing their opponents head on. He growled glaring at Raegan from behind his helmet the red visor covering his rage filled eyes. Yes he did bring them out here originally but she decided to continue interviewing people hoping to find either Tom's boss or more info on Tom himself. She reminded him of a news worker constantly asking questions and not answering the civilian questions. He doesn't appreciate civilians either but they deserve to know something with these yanks being here for so long. "Hey el-tee lighten up we'll leave this frozen tundra soon enough" Gabriel said nudging his shoulder. All Shawn could do in response was snort he expected the two new troops to be tired of this country also but nope. They follow Raegan's orders like it's god himself speaking following her around like a bunch of lost damn puppies. But when he gives them orders they just disobey them and him as well. One time Raegan over heard him giving them orders on being on watch outside of their apartment building and she called him " a crazy person who follows orders like a machine not a human" and then proceeded to say in a fake robotic voice "I'm Shawn follow my orders or face my wrath beep boop." Ellie and Jessica found this to be the most funniest thing ever and proceeded to point and laugh. During this Shawn just growled under his breath. Joseph, Howard, and Gabriel stared at the three mouths open and then Shawn. No one disrespects him and gets away with it either alive or their pride intact. From what Shawn can see those three will already be a nightmare doesn't help that the people of Russia with good intentions keep wanting to take pictures with him and his three vets and cuties asking for their number which and civilians and their own military alike constantly asking questions. In response they smile and tell them it isn't appropriate for them to do such things. Raegan saw this once also and later on practically unleashed her full fury on him calling him things such as a "Soviet spy" and "Russian lover" and also saying since they love it so much here they should just stay. During this fight he didn't speak hell the only thing he did was glare at her. Eventually they just had a stand off which she eventually backed down from. He shook those memories away before replying "lighten up? Really Gabe I don't mean anything wrong against you but MY soldiers literally disobey me and mock me and our spy friend thinks she out ranks me due to the fact that she's just a lone wolf type of chick." He chuckled at that before continuing "she doesn't even know what a lone wolf is, I do though y'all know I once was." Gabriel nodded at that "yes sir I do understand but you two can't constantly be at each other's throats if you can't get along soon this hunt won't last long, hell el-tee wouldn't be surprised if she tried killing you in ya sleep." Shawn laughed hard at that last part. "Well maybe I'll just sleep with my eye open from here on out." Gabe also got a good chuckle out of that "I'm telling you sir you two best become buddy buddy reeeealllll fast or else it'll be bad." Shawn only nodded at that before walking off to go outside. But Raegan stopped him obviously fuming "What in gods name is this?!" She growled shoving a paper at him. On the front page was an article of him and his three trusty vets helping out a homeless food shelter, the title read "yanks praised to helping the homeless." He shrugged and handed it back to her "what we're just trying to be nice people is that so bad?" He asked looking right at her waiting for a response to see how she'd act. "YES! We are here to find information not become best friends with the enemy! Are you even an American?! With the amount that you hang with these people I'm beginning to think not!" That was the last straw for Shawn he left his helmet in the apartment so she could clearly seem his snarling. "Listen to me very closely you might not have a heart but I do. The people of Russia could've easily told us "no you can't investigate our country" but they did so I'm just repaying therm for their kindness by helping them out anyways possible. You know I don't get why you hate me so much do you think I'm lower then you because I'm just a typical soldier? I've seen more shit then you've ever can know Raegan. I've literally seen someone get cut in half but a machine gun's bullets, someone blown apart by a mortar a bomber slam into a ship all hands lost both the crew and ship. You think your so tough just cause you slink around in the shadows well your not. You don't get the feeling of marching for hours in snow, mud, rain, dust, heat, humidity and shit the feeling of waking up wondering if that day shall be your last." He said to her his voice clear that he was sick of how she was acting towards him. "I hate you because grunts like you act like your so tough because you've seen hell on earth and walked through it well your not. I just hope that one day you get blown apart by a grenade, crushed by a tank, ripped apart by a machine gun or choke on your own blood because your throat was ripped out you are literally a terrible human being." She put a period to her sentence by slapping him right in the face. This hurt him both physically and emotionally which surprised him in return. He didn't see anything else just turned and walked down the street.  Jessica and Ellie both sneered at him saying things like "we never did like you, your a useless leader Raegan is better then you in every way possible." This also hurt him a strong frosty wind blew through the street as he walked away from the building his once empty face now soft and full of hurt. He eventually disappeared into the white of the snow as the other three walked into the building, and from the window Gabriel, Howard, and Joseph saw it all happen but they didn't dare say anything to Raegan or her goons but silently wished Shawn well where ever he goes and where ever his path takes him.

A/n: WHOOOO that was a long chapter I honestly took one of my fears and put it into this one obviously it being betrayal by those who I consider closest to me it is 9:05 so I'm getting ready to bathe and then work on some more chapters but this one in my opinion came out really well obviously I can't see the actual people of Raegan and Jessica and Ellie acting this way towards me but I wanted this chapter to be very surprising though it may not seem like it they're honestly such kind people I wanna do something awesome for chapter seven but I don't know what to do yet I'm tossing around a lot of ideas anyways see y'all on the next chapter
