With a life in the forest is difficult. Fighting, hunting, living. Thats all we can do, we try to live. Either by ourselves or with others, our main goal is survival. Even if that means hurting another to step up, and we all saw it in our home. We are the highest rank in the forest, you could say were are kings. Amongst kings though, there are ranks.
My mother was a omega before my father chose her as his mate. They lived happily until they brought two helpless pups into their world. Me and my brother, Kai. That night a tragedy happened. Both of them died unexpectedly. My father grieved, he grieved with the pack and alone. He never was seen until one day he exclaimed I would be raised by a omega mother.
There are stories about her death and how it happened, I catch bits and pieces. Some say a rogue pack ran by a wolf named Ash killed her. Others say it was the Sky Star Ancestors who thought it was her time. The one story that caught my attention was how Ash came to the forest.

There was a time long ago when wolves and dogs were loyal to one another. Two separate lives can be one. A wolf named Tao and a dog named Ash, they were allies. Fought for this pack, and fed this pack, but allies with others don't last very long. One day Ash got greedy for power and attempted to kill Tao. Tao was able to injure Ash before any serious harm came to him and his pack. Realizing Ash couldn't be trusted he banished him to the other side of the forest. The side with leaf fall everyday and scarce prey. That day the dog sworn that he would get his vengeance.

That wolf is my father, I'm the son of Tao. My name is Coda and I'm meant to be a leader, and I don't want that.
