It only took ten minutes to get there, a large modern building with a field.I headed towards the main office with Jack. It wasnt hard to find, the school was well signposted.
"You must be our new students, my name is Mr. Blakely, I am your Head Teacher," Mr. Blakely was a short, plump man in a cheap blue suit with a flamingo tie. His balding hair was combed over to the opposite side of his head. He was basically the creepy guy in the street your mother warned you to stay away from. He seemed nice enough though. "You will both have a guide in your form to show you around for the day."
A tall boy with long hair was my guide. He was wearing mosly black. He waved at me and i smiled back. " Hi, I'm Chris," he held out a hand.
"Scout," I replied, shaking it. He laughed and pulled me in for a hug. He was warm.
"We have registration first, you can sit with my friends and I if you want," He smiled. Wow. He was really nice.
"That would be great, thanks." He grabbed my wrist, and I had to stop myself from wincing in pain. I hadn't fully recovered from having to leave everyone i relied on. Especially my best friend, Elijah. He was my rock. He got me through the death of my mum and all of the bullies in school, and it hurt like hell saying goodbye.
I don't think Chris noticed, but if he did, he didn't pry. I liked that about him. He didn't ask questions.
When we arrived at our form room, Chris didn't drop my hand. Instead, he pulled me right to the back and sat me down inbetween him and another guy with dark hair and brown eyes.
"Matt, this is Scout. She's my new friend," Chris introduced us. Matt hugged me and I blushed. I had already met two really attractive guys on my first day.
The teacher wasn't here yet, so Matt, Chris and I talked for a while. They introduced me to another cute guy called Josh. They were all really funny and seemed really nice. After about five minutes the teacher arrived and introduced himself as Mr. Banner. He was pretty young, maybe early thirties and seemed pretty cool. He didn't make me stand up and say my name.
Just then, the door opened and a short-ish boy with dark blond hair literally fell through. He got up off his ass and brushed himself off.
"Late again, Mr. Helyer," Mr. Banner said with an amused tone. The boy waved him off and went to sit down next to Josh. They did a weird handshake thing and he turned to me with a smile.
"Hi, I'm Max."
