Shushed voices echoed off the stone walls. I laid still, closing my eyes, pretending to still be unconscious.

Even with my extra sharp hearing ability, I still couldn't catch on to the words and process them properly.
My head ached, a hammer beating on the insides of my skull, while my whole body felt numb. I've tried to move alot of times, but to no avail. My limbs didn't obey me, staying limp by my sides.

Suddenly, the voices silenced down and I heard soft footsteps approaching me.

Just like yesterday.

Or was it yesterday?
I don't know how long was I out cold. It's only been few minutes since I woke up.

A pair of feet came to a sudden stop near me. There was a moment of silence before a cold palm rubbed against my cheek.

"I know you're awake, Francine."
Sebastian's voice said.

I didn't respond, squeezing my eyes close.

I heard him sigh and then, all of a sudden I felt a pair of hands slide under my knees and around my back, effortlessly picking me up. I stifled my gasp, as my forehead rested against the crook of his neck, my arms hanging in the air. I breathed in his scent. He smelled of ashes, woods and.... And, faintly, of cloves.

Wierd combination, I know.

I felt us move as he carried me off to somewhere. Not able to resist, I peeked one eye open.

It was as if we were in some sort of a cave, the stone walls blurring into a background of gray and black. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary.

Except the fact that Jonathan Morgenstern knows me and is carrying me through this tunnel.

Without my permission of course.

I believe the correct term for it is called 'kidnapping' and 'being a stalker.'

"Enjoying the view?"
his voice, though low, rang throughout the place, ringing in my ears.

I sighed.
Not like I could even escape. I'm pretty sure he had paralyzed me somehow.

"There isn't much to look at. It's all gray and black."
I answered, my voice quiet and hoarse even to my own ears.

None of us spoke for a moment, before I broke the silence.

"How do you know me?"
He didn't answer me.

"Sebastian-"
"My name is Jonathan." he suddenly snapped at me.
"Alright, Jonathan. Now answer my question."

"I already told you. I've watched you all my life."

"But.... I never saw you.-"

"You weren't supposed to see me, that was the entire point." He huffed. I looked up to see him rolling his eyes.

Another moment of silence lapsed over us.

"Why did you kidnap me?"
I asked another question I had wanted to ask for a while.
