Mermaids To Go Heaven: Guide and Journal

You guys will never believe what happened today! I found a lagoon not far from where I live, and this afternoon when I was exploring it, I saw something super freaky. I was just about to swim into an underwater cave, when I see another mermaid swimming around a reef. She didn't see me, but I swam behind a nearby boulder. She sifted around in the sand before swimming away gracefully.

I was scared, because in my 3 years of being a mermaid, I've never seen another mermaid. She was really beautiful. She had a light blue tail, with gold ombre. While my tail is an orangish-yellow color.

I always thought they all looked the same. But I think that I'll go back tommorow and check to see if she'll come back. If she does, I think I'll try and communicate with her. Maybe she'll talk to me.

It gets lonely swimming all by myself sometimes. But, I guess that is the price of having fins.

Oh! My aunt made fish for dinner tonight. I'm pretty sure I scared her while I ate my food. I had 7 pieces of fish, and it only took me about 10 seconds on each piece. What can I say, mermaids need their protein.

Also, I feel really weird saying this, but I never told you guys my name!! How embarrassing... My real name isn't Jess. I was afraid to say it before. But I think I can trust you all.

It's Mallory. Huh, I guess you can call me Mermaid Mallory now. If you want, I guess.
