⠀⠀⠀I don't know how to ask him, he's already doing so much for me, I can't just beg him to look after my child. I don't want those two close, but I think it's too late. I'm just glad Ricky didn't notice anything.

⠀⠀⠀The doctor here has told me a billion of times that California is my only option, I just don't want to leave my baby behind, she's only 11 and I'm sure Ricky and his wife are already tired of her, they probably have their own kids to look after.

⠀⠀⠀I could maybe bring her with me, I won't take forever to have surgery. No, I can't, she has school. The only option is Ricky, I trust him. It'll be embarrassing to ask him, but it's for the best.

⠀⠀⠀Ricky comes in. “You wanted to talk to me?”

⠀⠀⠀I sigh and nod. “I'm going to California,but I don't know what to do about Maria.” I explain.

⠀⠀⠀He sits on a chair next to my bed. “I could take care of her, I guess I'm good with kids.” He takes my hand and laces our fingers together.

⠀⠀⠀”I trust you with her, but wouldn't she bother you and your wife?” I ask looking down.

⠀⠀⠀Ricky looks at me confused. “Since when am I married? I'm pretty sure I never asked anyone in marriage. Well I did, but you said no.”

⠀⠀⠀”You're wearing a ring, I figured you were married.” I blush at my thoughts of him married.

⠀⠀⠀”I'm for sure not married, not yet.” He worries me. I shouldn't feel jealous, but I do. I hate thinking about him and another woman living together. I hate thinking about him falling in love with someone other than me. I hate saying it, but it's obvious, I still love Ricky Garcia.
