“Ok, here it is.. Room number 45.. No lets see if my roomate has arrived”, I silently say to myself. I twist the door open and step inside. “Oi, hello mate”, a guy says and gets up from one of the beds. “I'm Gregory Lestrade, but you can call me Greg. Or Lestrade, you choose.” He puts his hand out in front of him and I politely shake it. “John. John Watson.” He smiles at me and sits down in his bed again. I put all my stuff on bed that's not preoccupied by Greg. “I'm sorry to ask, but how old are you? You don't look like you're 16”, he asks. “No you're right, I'm actually 18, I transferred schools during the summer so I'm only staying here for two years”, I answer. “Ah, that explains it. So, what are you studying for? Sorry if I talk a lot, I would just like to know my roomate a bit better”, he says. “No no, it's fine, honestly. I'm studying to become a doctor. Yes I know it sounds boring, but it's what I want to become. What about you?” He smiles at me and picks up a ball from under the bed. “Football player. Or, it's not really my dream though, more my dad's, I really want to become a detective inspector. My dad on the other hand, thinks it's a waste of my football talent.” He looks a bit sad, but soon puts on a smile. “My dad wanted me to become a football player as well, so whilst he thought I was taking the football scholarship, I was actually attending a medical school, but he figured it out, so he kicked me out. Which is why I had to stay with my sister until school started”, I tell him. He smiles at me before he gets up and walks into the bathroom. “The first lesson starts in 20 minutes. Have you got your schedule yet? If not, you should go visit the principal”, he says before he closes the door behind him. As a matter of fact, I actually haven't got my schedule yet.

I knock on the principals door. Mr. Holmes. “Come in.” I slowly open the door to reveal a man, probably in his late 20's behind the desk. “Hi, uhm, John Watson”, I say while holding out my hand for him to shake. “Mycroft Holmes. Here's your schedule, now off you go the first lesson starts in 15 minutes, and you have quite a way to walk to get to your classroom.” He lets go of my hand and grabs a schedule and gives it to me. I open my mouth to speak, but just then his phone calls and he answers it while pointing at the door. “Hello? Not again.. What did he bloody do this time?”

“First class is physics..” I mumble quietly for myself while making my way towards the physics room. “Ah, there it is!” I push open the door to find it empty. I check my watch. “Damn it, 10 minutes early.” I pick a seat in the back and sit down. I pull out my notebook and overlook my essay, the one I never handed in. I'm considering saving it, in case we get a task in another class that looks like this one, plus I'm pretty proud of it, so why not. It's about equal rights, the only thing the school in London have been focusing on since gay marriage got legal in England, and that to my relief. I do feel kind of bad for my parents, seeming both their kids are gay but that's not my division right now. They threw me out anyway for wanting to be a doctor, they doesn't even know I'm gay. I didn't bother telling them, since my dad has always hated me. Harry, my sister on the other hand still had contact with our parents. She seemed to be the one they loved. My dad sometimes used to call her 'the son he never got'. My thoughts are disturbed by someone dumping something down on their desk. I look up to see a slender man with black curls all over his head. His skin is pale, which makes the deep purple shirt fit him perfectly. He hangs his large trench coat on his stool and sits down.

“So, I take it you are John Watson. I'm the physics teacher Mr.Holmes. But just between you and me, you can call me Sherlock. What are you doing here so early? There's still 8 minutes left and most of the students are likely to be late. Actually, don't bother answer that. Does your father still not contact you? I know it can be tough for parents to find out that their son is gay, and also daddy's little dream got crushed when you finally admit that you weren't taking the football scholarship he thought.”

he says after a few seconds. I open my mouth to say something, but I can't get anything out. “I-How?” I finally ask.

“Oh please. I know all the students I have in my class from before, and I was told I was going to get a new one, John Watson. I looked over your papers, and to be honest you seem to be on the right track, unlike my other students. I can tell that you didn't mean to come early, because you were looking for the classroom, which you thought would take longer than it did, and when you found it you just settled in and found a seat. I know that you moved here from London, but the school you were attending were pretty good, but it was to expensive for you to afford on your own, so after two years you dropped out and instead you're attending this school. Now how did you afford to attend the school the first two years? Parents. Most likely dad since men get more paid than women.

I can see that you have been a football player earlier in your life but you haven't played for a while. You took another scholarship which was preparing you to go to a college where you can finally become what you've always wanted-a doctor. But that wasn't what your daddy wanted. He visited you once while you were there, he was going to surprise you, and then he found out that you wanted to be a doctor instead of a football player. He stopped paying the school for you and kicked you out. You still get money from somewhere since you don't have a job. Most likely close family members such as mother or siblings, in this case I think both. Your sister feels bad for you because you're left out so she helps you pay for school, and your mother still loves you, obviously, she's your mother, so she also helps out a little bit. Now, the gay thing was a shot in the dark, but seems I got it right. You dress properly, you're not one of those douchebags who comes here in oversized everything, flooding in their own clothes. Also, I could see that you were checking me out, which I by the way don't mind, considering I'm gay as well.”

He looks at me for a while before continuing with something in his briefcase. “That.. Was bloody fantastic”, I say while looking away. I look up to see him staring at me. “Really?” he asks confused. “Yes. Absolutely fantastic. It was amazing.. Extraordinary..” I stop myself from continuing, afraid I'll make a fool of myself. There's a short silence, but he breaks it. “That's not usually what people say.” I look up at him. “What do they usually say?” His lips breaks into a smile. God he has a nice smile. “Piss off.”
