Reflections Of You {A BTS/RM Fanfiction}

Prologue

"And in breaking news, up and coming korean pop band BTS have added a select number of UK stops to the end of their European tour after being in huge demand following their billboard win! Those who haven't been keeping up with the world of kpop have been shocked at the international following this group, otherwise known as the BTS A.R.M.Y, has received from all over the world. There has been a strong negative reception to Korean pop companies in the music industry in the past, as shocking alogations of the vigorous training members have to endure for the chance to be in the next big band have thousands of young people on harmful schedules in south korea with up to 18 hours of training a day and many juggling the hectic lifestyle alongside their education, leaving as little as 4 hours to sleep.
But this latest trend doesn't seem to be going away any time soon. The strong aesthetics, catchy melodies and lyrics mean that these artists are racking up the views online, especially from twelve to twenty year olds . Even knowing the possibible dark side to this  lifestyle, many fans are still restless and will do anything for a few seconds with their favourite idols. In light of this, we here at-"

"Is that true, Prim? Is that how all Kpop members are treated?" Natalie asks me, keeping her eyes on the road. I wonder if she thinks I'd still support the industry if they treated everyone like this and remind myself to calm down.

"There were a few cases against big management companies who treated their idols like crap a while back but BTS are managed by a smaller company who focus on them and really care about making them the best performers they can. Though saying that there was a worry about how an old manager was filmed treating Tae or something but I think he got fired."
I try not to sound too obsessed or defensive of BigHit in front of Luke, who doesn't seem to be listening in the backseat of Nat's new car.

She raises her eyebrow, telling me we'd be talking about this later but says nothing more.

"-details of the competition and ways to enter will be revealed tomorrow at 7:45am so tune in or miss the chance to see Rap monster, Suga, Jungkook, V, Jimin, J-hope and Jin live in concert AND meet them for a small meet and greet!"

My ears pick up on hearing 'meet and greet' but I shake the thoughts away, knowing the chances of even being shortlisted to go live on air is slim. That, plus the fact i'd be up ridiculously early tomorrow morning for the general sale to one of their london shows saved me from being worried. The only thing I was worried about was finding a standing ticket that wouldn't be more than £50 or i'd be a little screwed finding a hotel for the night.

Nerves bubble inside of me at the thought of missing them in concert after years of petitions and supporting them online, but I'd have everything sorted by the time tickets were on sale.

I try to calm down my racing heart as I stare out of the window, watching the blur of green trees and the bright blue sky I had grown to love about summer.

I clear my throat, "so what are your classes today, munchkin?" I direct towards the backseat, glancing at the drivers mirrror.

He looks down and clutches his bag closer to his chest. "Oh you know, Core science, PSHE, Lit and PE."

"Oooh PSHE is it, I wonder if today will be the lucky day that you guys get to put rubbe-" I whack her on the arm with the magazine I'd been flicking through before she can finish that thought out loud.

She rubs it, while driving one handed and laughs. "You know the kid's gonna have to grow up soon Prim, I bet he's already loaded a few viruses on your mum's laptop if you know what I mean..."

"YES I think we know what you mean, please just keep your eyes on the road, we don't need to get pulled over for reckless driving with your provisional license."

I quickly look at the mirror to see Luke looking down, blush sweeping his cheeks as he tries to stare at his knees like they're the most interesting sight to behold.

I don't bring up the fact that the last time I saw mum she shouted at me for that very thing, before slamming her way out of the flat for this last 'break' of hers. Quickly calculating how much it'll cost me to take her laptop to the repair shop before she gets back, I loose track as I see us driving through the gates of hell, more commonly known as my school.
