Chapter 12

"You what?!" Brindlekit hissed unbelievably. "Really?" he continued gasping until Dewkit finished her story later that day.

"Yep, every last detail of that was correct. I, Promise." the ginger kit stood tall, fur fluffed out in pride. as Brindlekit listened in awe to every one of her words.

"You're so lucky! I wish I could have gone. Why didn't you wake me?!" he asked indignantly.

"You were snoozing with Mother!" Dewkit hissed, turning away and storming off. It was the first fight she had ever had with him, and even now it wasn't much of a big deal.

"Still..." Brindlekit grumbled, slowly heading back to Larkfeather. He pricked his ears at Moltenstar's voice. The brindle-brown and white little tom cat loped back to Larkfeather, who was cleaning Dewkit outside of the Nursery, and lay down beside her, all attention on the Gathered cats and Moltenstar. Featherpaw perched neatly beside him, seeming at ease but secretly squirming with nerves.

"Featherpaw, will you treat your Clan with all of your skills to heal and help wounded?" The gray leader asked solemnly, his piercing gaze fixed on Robinwing's apprentice.

"I will." the creamy-gray she-cat responded confidently. Her tail tip twitched in excitement, as Moltenstar called out her new name.

"You will be named Feathernose, and shall live in Robinwing's den like a real Medicine Cat. Congratulations." he touched her shoulder with his nose gracefully, feeling hers on his pelt.

"Feathernose! Feathernose!" the Clan called out, greeting the new Medicine Cat with words of congratulations and cheerfulness. Robinwing smiled at his previous apprentice, touching her shoulder with his tail. "Ready to start as a real Medicine Cat, no longer an apprentice?" the reddish-brown tom asked with a light smirk.

"Of course I am." Feathernose grinned and lead the way into the den, greeted by the refreshing smell of mixed herbs that made her feel more at home than anything.

Side-note...

I have writers block, I'm just gonna say it, so if you wanted to note an idea, just a small one, I could thank you in the chapter/part and maybe use that idea? Only if your up to it

I decided to continue with the book, but the updates might be either short, slow or even both, sorry, but I guess I'll try ✌I'm also moving Dewkit and Brindlekit up to apprentices, as in they literally JUST became apprenticed. Brindlekit's mentor will be Blacktip, but Moltenstar is choosing Dewkit's mentor now. Brindlepaw is also now the older sibling ;)
