"Ayesha, I got a job at Starbucks. I'm going there and will come by around 7ish. What about you?" she asked. "I am babysitting, she's supposed to come in half an hour. Come soon, I'll make dinner today" I said while going towards our room. She nodded and left. I wore my Disney tee (made by us as well) and unicorn pajamas. The doorbell rang and I saw a middle aged woman with long blonde locks and a small 5 year old girl with amazing green eyes and blonde locks as well. She hid behind her mum. "Hi, I'm Ayesha." I held out my hand. She shook my hand, smiled and said "I'm veronica and this is my daughter Vanessa" "you are so cute", I replied, I noticed her Elsa doll and asked, "Do you like the movie Frozen, I love it". She nodded her head and a smile appeared on her face. The woman said, "I better get going, you too have already made friends, I'll come at around 6:30". I nodded, she left and Vanessa and I went to watch frozen. Soon May came and told me that she met a boy. I was cool with it, I knew May for long; she would never ditch me for anyone. It was one of our rules, girls before boys. She met Vanessa and we sang songs. The doorbell rang and I knew it was time for Vanessa to go. "See you tomorrow best friend", I told Vanessa. She beamed said, "we are best friends? I don't mind...I LOVE IT!" I opened the door and guess who it was. The jerk who bumped into me. He was clearly startled and to break the awkward silence, Vanessa screamed, "Aiden! You're finally here, I made a new BFF. We are going to meet every day!" Talk about irony, you have a princess like Vanessa, then Satan in human form, her brother!
"I'll see you tomorrow", I try to smile. "Yes, we'll meet every day BFF", she replied. What I didn't realize is that he was smirking. Why do boys always have a permanent plastered smirk on their face?!?!? I closed the door and sighed.
Soon May came and we discussed our day so far. She had met someone named Josh. The way she described him, he seemed nice. We never actually had been on a relationship. Let's just say that the boys in our school were P-A-T-H-E-T-I-C.
"So, remember the boy who I bumped into. Pft! How can anyone forget that. I am babysitting his little sister", I nervously said. "Woah! Umm, well, But, umm, I", she stuttered.
I giggled, I knew her, she wasn't the best when it came to straight forward talk, especially surprising ones. I told her it's fine and it actually doesn't matter AT ALL. I made dinner while she was working and we watched Riverdale while eating. We cleaned the dishes and called our own parents.
I could hear from my dad's voice that he was a little paranoid. Well, any sensible father would be, I mean you are letting to teens go to another country to complete their high school. I talked with my mom and dad. They were happy to hear that I had already found a job and that I liked school. I didn't mention who I bumped into though, that would totally freak them out.
We wrapped up and slept. Tomorrow would be a good day.
