Chapter 4

September 14,1963

Ariana's POV.

I knocked on the door trying my best to hold back the tears.Ponyboy opened the door and in quickly hugged him and cried.Pony wrapped his arms around my waist."J-jai broke u-up with me."i said in between sobs."Oh,its ok,im here for you."Pony said stroking my hair."T-thank you Pony."i said quitely.He walked me to couch and we sat down.I notice that Dal,Johnny,and Soda were the only ones in the living room.Dal was talking to Clem.Or flirting.I realized that they were watching a scary movie.I fell asleep in Pony's arm.

September 15,1963

I woke up in Pony's arms.I heard giggling.Darry,Clem,and Soda were giggling.SHIT CONCERT DAY!"what time is it?"i asked quickly."7:30 dumbass,concert starts at 8:00 p.m.Rehearsal is in 30 minutes."Clementine informed me.I sighed with relief and gently took Pony's arm away from me."Im gonna go get ready,see you guys at 8."i said and walked outside with Clementine."So what happened when i was asleep?"i asked Clem while fixing my hair because i dont want to look like shit in public."Well,Pony began to fall asleep on you and Dal asked me to go to the drive in.I said yes and we went there.We're together now!"Clem said with excitment in her voice."Lucky ass,How am i going to get Pony?"i asked."Well,remember the Amas,Sing the song you wrote him.Anyways the Amas is next week.But you haven't even started 'Right there'.You could use Pony as Romeo."she said winking at the last part.I giggled."Sure,whatever you say."i said and we got home.When i opened my door,Frankie and Mom had worried looks on their face."Where were you?"Mom asked."At the Curtis's,Jai broke up with me."i said."Oh,Ari,tell him to go fuck himself."Frankie said in his fake sad voice.I giggled."Im over him,kind of.Rehearsal is in a few."i said then ran up to change.I wore a dress and heels with my hair half up half down.

The gang and Clem are in the audience.I had butterflies in my stomach.Mainly because the gang was there and i to sing Honeymoon avenue after a break up.The music started to play Baby I.I went up to the stage.I started to dance around a bit.

Honeymoon avenue.Shit."Did you guys get my album?"i asked.The crowd yelled a yes."Do you guys like it?"i asked.Again they all yelled yes."Here's Honeymoon Avenue."i said.

i sang.Jesus my eyes are burning.Half way through the song.My eyes couldn't handle it while i sang

i started to cry.I covered my mouth so the crowd wouldn't hear me.I rosed the microphone up but i put it down because more tears came out.In the corner of my eyes i saw Pony running backstage.The crowd started to cheer really loud.When i wiped away most of the tears,i started to sing

then i started to sing with more power.When the song ended,i ran backstage and Pony was there.I was really happy to see him.I cried until a guy told me to go up the stage.I had no idea what i was doing but pecked Pony on the cheek and ran back to the stage leaving him turning red."Hey everybody,im only going to sing one more song then imma get out of here."i said then they started to play tatooed heart.It was a song i wrote for Pony.

-After the concert-

"Ariana,umm"Pony said getting red "Will you go out with me?"he asked.We were at the after party in the garden.It was 9:05 and it was getting really dark."Yes!"i said and hugged him.Right after i hugged him,he kissed me.Underneath the moonlight.Just in like it said in my lyrics for Tattooed heart.The kiss lasted for about 6 seconds because Dal walked in on us with the gang,Frankie,and Mom.Twobit started to squeal again."Oh my god those two were in loveee."he said raising his hands to his neck and making a kissy face."Shut up Twobit."i said jokingly."What are you guys doing here anyways?"i asked."Looking for you and your new boyfriend."Mom said.I faceplamed myself"Moommm."i said in an annoyed voice."Mom,lets leave them alone,and they we'll spy on them from a near by window."Frankie said."Shut up Frankie."i said.They all left and looked at us from a nearby window."What do you guys want"i mouthered.They just all made kissy faces and Frankie tried to press Clem and Dal's face together but Clem kept tilting her head back."Fine"i mouthered and started to kiss Pony again for another 6 seconds.Best.Kiss.Ever.Better than Jai's to be honest.Pony was way better then Jai anyways.I got him now.I found myself a Romeo.
